Many women speaking out against one man isn't 'two sides'. It's giving weight to men's voices over women.

And the fact that the whole band and entourage covered for and enabled Morriss's behaviour demonstrates that men closing ranks is what allows them to abuse time and again.

Fucking hell. It's exactly this attitude that allows abusive men to keep on being abusive in the face of testimony from many, many women.

As I thought. Too old for Mark to have hit on you. I've met him too. Several times and he was perfectly charming. But a) I'm too old and b) I was in a position of power. I'm not naive or stupid enough to think that means he is a lovely man.

Most of all though, I believe women.

Let's hope your kids and grandkids are never victims of either assault at the hands of a partner or emotional abuse / cheating / gaslighting etc. Or if they are, hopefully they'll have someone else they can talk to about it rather than you.

He is indeed abusive, those defending him, did you miss the bit where he physically attacked her and she reported him to the police several times? Specifically the time he tried to throttle her, but she had the presence of mind to take photos of his finger marks around her neck so she had evidence for the police?

What a vile lowlife. Feel sorry for his daughter. The throttling and his gaslighting to his wife were particularly grim.

I guess he thought he was very clever until he was rumbled.

Hope all the women and children involved can move on and continue to support each other.

I was a huge Bluetones fan in the 90s, saw them numerous times and met Mark quite a few times too. I could easily have been one of those girls, I was starry-eyed, but thankfully probably a bit young (although who knows).

I still play their albums a lot now on streaming sites, but no more - I'm not sending another penny his way.

So sorry for all the women who went through hell because of this absolute arsehole.
