I listened to miserable music for a bit, indulged the tears, then one day I was literally sitting on the floor crying at my mum's house and thought - nope. Not gonna do this any more. Put 'I'm still standing' on and turned to the music that I've been recommending that picked me up, dusted me off and made me feel angry and strong and like I was moving forwards. Music has so much power to steer our emotions and I refused to be that cowed, broken woman on the floor so I changed my soundtrack.
