@XelaM ok I'll bite...some people like a low maintenance pet. Cats are loving but don't require the same level of supervision as dogs. That's why people choose them as pets.
Where do you think all of the cats should go if people suddenly stop owning them as pets?
Yes exactly. People choose a cat because they can’t be arsed to be a responsible pet owner. Ie they don’t want to look after it.
“Where would cats go if everyone suddenly stopped owning them?
“?
Umm… maybe cat owners would neuter their “pets” to make sure they didn’t breed??
You think cats are easy to look after?
They still require mental stimulation, feeding, watering, vet visits, attention, litter changes etc. You clearly don’t own a cat, so how can you know the responsibilities involve.
Most people do neuter their cats.
If they didn’t, how many more cats do you think would be roaming and pooing in everyone’s garden like badgers, foxes etc.
You still didn’t answer the question, where would all the domesticated cats go?
The millions that reside in peoples homes?
If they were wild and had no one to neuter them, we’d be over run like countries such a Cyprus, surely you can see the logic there
