No never found him attractive, if anything disturbing and creepy even before all too well being re recorded. But after seeing the 'short story' he was one sick weirdo and honestly how could anyone still find him attractive. As a victim of EV and DV he is a gaslighting spiteful nutter.

He was obviously awful to her. Took advantage of a much younger girl and not attending her party was just plain cruel.

I think he was using her as his "beard". I had a similar experience with an in the closet man who treated me badly but enjoyed being seen with a woman.

It's a shame that in 2021 anyone has to hide their sexuality.

I personally can't fancy gay celebrities as part of the enjoyment of a celeb crush is knowing that if they saw me, in the frozen food aisle of Sainsbury's or some other similarly glamorous locale, that they would immediately full madly in lust with me, ditch their starlet girlfriend and move me to their NYC loft/Malibu beach house. My imagination can't make this work if they're gay

Funnily enough, @MaxNormal, I knew Andrew Scott briefly when I was a teen. He went out with a friend of mine for 5 mins. He seemed very brooding and cool back then too.

I actually wasn't sure if my current crush was straight or gay as he's pretty discreet about his private life and has played a number of gay roles, and weirdly it bothered me, not for homophobic reasons but just as it would mess up my fantasies like you said.
