To reveal or not to reveal

Please help me revolve this minor domestic disagreement in the potato household

Which looks better?
YABU Roman blind inside window reveal
YANBU Roman blind outside window reveal

Window is North facing and for a dressing area in a bedroom. If it is positioned outside I will put it higher up than shown so it doesn't block the light when open.

Inside

sonsmum · 05/11/2021 09:33

Outside: you see more of the lovely blind, it has a more warm feel, it will work better at blocking the slight draught, it is easier to fix/maintain, much easier when you decide to repaint your walls

Smartiesandhugs · 05/11/2021 09:34

Outside. Unless you are having curtains as well then inside

flashy44 · 05/11/2021 09:39

Inside x

MazzleDazzle · 05/11/2021 09:45

I think the wall looks naked when it’s placed inside. I always hang them outside so the window looks ‘dressed’ and buy blinds much bigger than the actual window. The Roman blinds in my livingroom are hung 6 inches above the window so when they’re open they don’t block any light.

Inside

Suspiciousmind20 · 05/11/2021 09:49

Outside

thirstyformore · 05/11/2021 09:57

Outside!

CasaBonita · 05/11/2021 11:22

Definitely inside. Looks much neater

Pottedpalm · 05/11/2021 11:26

I like both; inside looks more tailor made for your window though .

HiJenny35 · 05/11/2021 11:28

Inside, outside makes it look like my old grannys house with fussy windows.

Prattypatel · 05/11/2021 11:44

Inside for sure

caketiger · 05/11/2021 16:11

Inside

SeasonFinale · 05/11/2021 16:42

@Dollywilde

I prefer outside the window, purely for a practical reason - if you have stuff on the window sill, it won’t get knocked off when you pull the blind down.
I have inside and stuff on my windowsill doesn't get knocked off when I pull them down if this is the deciding factor Grin
Thumbcat · 05/11/2021 16:52

Outside looks far more stylish IMO.

Mybalconyiscracking · 05/11/2021 16:57

Outside every time

Bontanics · 05/11/2021 17:20
@Bontanics The first picture is “inside” – close to the window, with the hole in the wall – the reveal – visible. Second picture is “outside”, with the blind on the main wall hiding the hole entirely.
Thank you.

In which case, inside.

kitcat15 · 05/11/2021 17:22

Inside....outside is ugly

Derrymum123 · 05/11/2021 17:27

Inside. Looks much neater and more modern.

LolaButt · 05/11/2021 17:32

Venetian - inside
Roller - inside
Roman - outside for sure

Mousepotato · 07/11/2021 18:38

Thanks all for your views. You have convinced me, we will put it at the inside front of the reveal. The fabric is emma j shipley lynx for those interested.

Jeez.. hard choice...
I'd get curtains...

YoungGiftedPlump · 07/11/2021 18:42

Dont really like either
Curtains so that you get more light and green

muddyford · 07/11/2021 19:54

Outside. Inside looks mean.
