Please tell me I’m wrong, I’m needing a good pair of jeggings, jeans are just uncomfortable but all these jeggings are either see through or just so hard and uncomfortable.
Help me out here with some recommendations mumsnetters x

A vote for uniqlo! Much prefer them to M&S ones and only £19.99

RavensWig · 26/10/2021 09:53

Oh bloody hell, I was just about to order some more M&S ones and now you lot are buying up all the stock!

I like them because they do them in short lengths, most jeggings are way too long on me. And they don't work their way down like others either.

I do tend to wear them out quickly though - in the erm, crotch/thigh area. Has anyone my size (16/18) with chunky thighs found a brand of jegging that wears better than most? Sainsburys were great for wear but were massively long, the Amber jeggings from Simply Be were also good - thick, wore well, short lengths - but expensive at £22 and rode down over my arse like nobody's business, so annoying.

I'm dying to try the slightly "distressed" type you see in Yours but they don't do short lengths.

Betsythecheshirecat · 26/10/2021 10:49

I have next a d m&s ones. I'd say the next ones are softer than the m&s ones. Some of the m&s ones feel a bit "shiny" to me.

My thighs rub together so they tend to wear there. I have bought loads.

SantasLittleHoHoHo · 26/10/2021 10:52

I have just bought three pairs from different brands to compare because of this thread 😂 mumsnet are such influencers!

Danikm151 · 26/10/2021 10:57

Pep and co

FlamingoDust · 26/10/2021 11:02

M and s for me too!

GiantHaystacks2021 · 26/10/2021 11:12

Uniqlo for the win.

Hankunamatata · 26/10/2021 11:18

M and s but weirdly iv found different fabric/colours size differently. Iv got black pair with not much stretch/give but blue pair that are more stretchy. Pays to try on

SherryPalmer · 26/10/2021 11:18

Another vote for Uniqlo.

GoodnightGrandma · 26/10/2021 11:19

Next. They hold everything in !

mountbattenbergcake · 26/10/2021 11:19

YANBU, I have sensory issues with clothes and I’ve never found a soft enough pair of jegs.

DrinkFeckArseBrick · 26/10/2021 11:20

Another vote for M and S here.

I am a pear shape and they gape at the waist a bit but so high waisted it doesnt matter

Jody21 · 26/10/2021 11:26

Bon Marche do a really comfortable pair called the 'Julie' jegging. They come in different lengths and have elastic waist band so they don't gape or slide down. I have them in several colours. They are the same price as the M&S one's that I used to wear but far more comfortable.

itsgettingwierd · 26/10/2021 11:53

@BirdyBirdyTweetTweet

Whats the waistband like ? Unfortunately I'm rather round in the middle and need a bit more give there. I usually find jeggings too tight.
Same here and with gynae issues so quite painful stomach.

I find them fine

M and s now do a cosy version.

I'm hoping to go to the big store and compare to the £15 ones.

They sound like they might be like the next ones?

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 26/10/2021 12:01

Was coming on to say M&S too

smoko · 26/10/2021 12:05

Love a good jeg.

Best jeggings ever got was from a popup shop on Portobello road. Sad have forgotten brand & will never be able to repurchase online

LostSocksBrigade · 26/10/2021 12:50

Also love the m and s ones, but George are okay too! They do sort of feel like pregnancy pants with their wide elastic top though 😂

CheapFoodShits · 26/10/2021 12:51

I buy mine from Very. Thick, very stretchy material, nice high waist with a thick waistband. They don't have that cheap jegging look, they just look like skinny jeans. £20.The only issue is the black ones tend to fade and not stay super black. But that just makes them look like faded jeans so still wearable!

pepperaunt · 26/10/2021 13:12

Just ordered some M&S ones in black! V excited

drpet49 · 26/10/2021 13:18

I have M&S jeggings, really comfy

Jins · 26/10/2021 13:29

I had a pair of M&S but they were the wrong shape for me and possibly the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever worn.

My F&F ones that I bought when they were reduced to pennies are fantastic though

Laiste · 26/10/2021 13:42

Yes this. And i find black come up just a little bit smaller. PITA when you've found the perfect size. I get bloated when i'm due on and that slight size difference means i can't wear my black ones till i've deflated.
Laiste · 26/10/2021 13:44

See now - i thought skinny jeans were 'out' and so yesterday ....

Not in this house, and not in lots of others by the looks of it Grin
