.. men with their other halves still manage to have a quick gawp at the lingerie you're looking at rather than the lingerie their OH is looking at.

The last time someone scrutinised my shopping I added a vibrating cock ring and 3 packs of condoms (what awesome timing being right near that aisle in a supermarket).

Ah yes, the Morrison's vibrating-cock-ring aisle, between wet fish and tinned goods. Or do they now do this in the middle of Lidl?

I occasionally nose at what other people are buying especially in clothes/lingerie shops if something catches my eye, sometimes I spot something I really like that someone else has got hold of and then go off on a massive search to find it 😂

I'd have held the bra up, given a cheeky wink and asked what he thought.

DifficultBloodyWoman · 19/10/2021 13:40

I think there are a lot of men on this thread. Of course, it does have ‘lingerie’ in the title so….

1forAll74 · 19/10/2021 13:51

I had to laugh at this silly thought process.Maybe blinkers should be handed out to all men who are staring at knickers and bras in stores.

annaop · 19/10/2021 13:54

Just - mate - when you're with your wife/OH in the lingerie department just concentrate 100% on her and the items she's looking at.

if you weren't wearing it, what is the problem?

@gardeninggirl68

It's because it's a man isn't it.... the hatred and clutching at straws to spread more hatred, is dull now

Yabu.

@gardeninggirl68 Jaysus thats a bit extreme, where did you get the hatred bit from that post??

I guess so too. Btw YANBU op
iloveruby · 19/10/2021 14:44

I'm with you on this OP but it seems many here can't seem to tell the difference between doing a weekly shop and choosing underwear....

CrystalBuddha · 19/10/2021 14:45

yanbu none of their business to look and see what you're buying

Staffy1 · 19/10/2021 14:52

Just bored I would imagine. If I had to be dragged into the men’s underwear department I would probably look around at anything moving out of complete boredom.

Aderyn21 · 19/10/2021 14:57

I've honestly never noticed this. If I've dragged my husband to m&s he's usually looking at BBC sports news while I shop! Are you sure you haven't imagined it?

JetRocket · 19/10/2021 14:57

If you’re shopping in a specific women’s lingerie shop YANBU

IF you’re shopping in a supermarket/department store YABU

mm40 · 19/10/2021 14:58

As a man (reading this thread - not JUST because it has lingerie in the title) I hate being in the section at all and keep my eyes firmly on the floor.

mongoosebaby · 19/10/2021 15:02

I can't tell you how happy I was that the first comment on the thread was Father Ted related!

BiscuitLover09876 · 19/10/2021 15:10

It depends how they do it. My dh avoids the area as finds it awkward and doesn't want to look at anyone by accident! I sometimes do it too Blush

BarbaraofSeville · 19/10/2021 15:15

I get pissed off with men trailing round women's clothes shops after their female partners full stop.

They never want to be there and have a habit of standing right in front of the items I want to look at or they're engrossed in their phones so have zero awareness of their surroundings so are just in the way.

Eustaciavile · 19/10/2021 15:17

Yes poor chap was probably just bored, rather staring lustfully at you 🤣🤣

I’m amused to think of all the mumsnetters walking around shops yelling “EYES FRONT kids, if you glance at another shopper’s basket a fairy dies” 🤣🤣🤣

HollowTalk · 19/10/2021 15:17

@Spongeboob

The last time someone scrutinised my shopping I added a vibrating cock ring and 3 packs of condoms (what awesome timing being right near that aisle in a supermarket). The lady nearly keeled over. Closer to produce I'd have added the biggest cucumber I could find and winked. People are weird.
They sell vibrating cock rings in your local supermarket?!
knittingaddict · 19/10/2021 15:29

I think you're being a bit silly op.

I was trying on a jumper in the changing room. When I came out my husband pointed out another woman was wearing the same jumper. Men have eyes too, you know and not in a prervy way.

What are men supposed to do? Eyes down and not look at anything other than their wives? I imagine most of them try for that, but it's not that easy.

I am a people watcher though. Grin

knittingaddict · 19/10/2021 15:31

Also it's years since I shopped for anything other than big knickers and sports bras, so I may be out of touch.

I'm not a man. Confused
