... to think that Joan Collins is a very interesting speaker.

I heard an interview with her on an Irish radio station with her during the week. I didn't hear the start, and it took a few minutes for me to figure out who she was. She's incredibly articulate and such a strong speaker for a person of her age!

I only know her from being author of books (which I never read) and being from Dynasty (which I've never seen). DH tells me she was also in the original Star Trek??

She is advertising a new book of course, but very interesting speaker nonetheless!

I took my mum to see an audience with JC about 6 or so years ago. It was a fabulous evening - She was engaging and witty and scurrilous and very sharp and funny. Wonderful woman.

It was definitely Joan’s daughter who was involved in a car accident. I think she was seven or eight, around 1980. Her name is Katy - Joan wrote a book about it, it was one of those books I read several times as a teenager back in the 1980s because I thought she was amazing.

She was very badly injured and not expected to live, had to learn to walk and talk over again, but she did. A remarkable story really, she nursed her back to health. I often think of Katy and wonder how she is now, she’s a couple of years older than me and very lucky to have Joanie as her mum!
