To think celebrities seriously need to get over themselves?

Just got an email from a recruitment agency I signed up to years ago, they were listing a load of jobs they had available and one of them was:

"£60k - Nanny for Celebrity family - required qualified nanny with experience of young children and newborn, ideally has experience with celebrities so doesn't get starstruck"

I mean seriously, puke. Get over yourselves!

I was walking in London once and this tall, well dressed man passed me on the zebra crossing. I looked at him because he was good looking, and he grinned at me. It was only afterwards that I realised it was that race car driver. He probably thought I was star struck, but I had no idea who he was !!
So I think I’d be ok for the job.

Maybe we need to stop referring to such nonentities as 'celebrities', unless a person has actually done something, other that promote their tacky lifestyle, they're really nobodies. People who sing, act, write, play a sport, etc., have actually done something of note, can be referred to as celebrities, not a spray tanned screecher, too often if I look up a name all they've done is move from one self-promotion to another.

SE19 is a big and varied area and I can assure you that there are significantly famous/ VIP / notable families who live there.

But due to minding their privacy they are not having their job adverts scrutinised and criticised and being subject to all sorts of speculation and slagging off by MNers,

I went to a event once where there were F1 drivers race suits on display and I was surprised at how tiny they were

Unless the family is unaware that the advert is appearing on the internet and is available to the world to discuss they haven't really got anything to complain about

A family who value their privacy would surely find a nanny by less public means.

I find the more z list they are the more they harp on about how famous they are

Had to Google him to get his name ! I just don’t ‘do’ celebrities, they’re just people.

I mean LH can look very striking because he has a unique dress sense and really stands out- but he’s certainly not what I’d describe as tall!

How do you google someone that you don't know is well known and somehow find out that they are Lewis Hamiliton

Well firstly I mentioned teeth products and detox teas.. i personally would be embarrassed to promote detox teas because it would be promoting an awful industry that thrives off of peoples insecurities and also creates them. Secondly, I wouldn't compare cleaners to influencers, cleaners work very hard and are totally undervalued. Thirdly, I'm not sure why the only job I could do that would allow me to laugh at other peoples jobs is being the owner of a tech company.. very random. And thirdly, I said eye roll not laugh 🙃
