Inspired by another thread, I was trying to think of a fun fact about me. I finally thought of one:

I used to work at the treasury and, apparently, my office used to be Winston Churchill’s bedroom. I’m not sure how true it is but I love to think it is.

Tell us a fun fact about you……

I can speak 5 languages, unfortunately only two of them on (near) native speaker level.
A more rare skill that I have is the ability to stick my finger pretty deep into my eye socket (sort of behind my eyeball) and I do it very casually during face to face conversations because I like shocking people.

@tunnocksreturns2019 Any plans to move on to other shipping areas for future chickens? Smile

Not me but my friend. She used to work abroad on contract work. While she was in Iran there was an uprising. When she was in Zaire the government was attacked and overthrown, likewise Egypt. We still tell her it was her fault, and laugh about it now.

I got fired by the same woman who fired Richard and Judy off This Morning.

Once had detectives round to the house because a parcel addressed to us had exploded in a sorting office.
Asked if we were into animal rights, or anything dodgy. Told if any more parcels arrived we had to call 999 and get away from it.
Turns out it was a seat belt that we'd ordered from Ebay Grin

I used to have a third nipple just below my breast. The surgeon offered to remove it when removing some large fibroids from my other breast as he said it had enough tissue to lactate.

I’ve always been obsessed with watching over other people’s kids around water as well as my own. Obsessed as in can’t take my eyes off everyone for a second. I’ve been this way since a child.

I later found out on an ancestry site that my great grandfather jumped into the tidal river Tyne and rescued a drowning child. The parents letter of thanks was published in the Times newspaper.

I lived across the street from my great x 3 grandmother, 150 years apart - found out by accident when tracing family tree for my gran. Was able to stand in the foundations/ruins of her house which was pretty weird .

I once had a temporary job at Liberty's London for a VIP Russian night stuffing a goodie bag with chocolate and mini bottles of vodka. 8 hours a day for 2 days with a group of others We got very drunk both days. Grin

I was once in a film, and had to run along the banks of the Tyne in winter totally starkers bar some blue paint and feathers. None of us could drive so I had to get a cab home wrapped in a towel and faux fur coat.

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 15/10/2021 13:29

NASA liked a tweet of mine (you'd have to be a fellow saddo geek to understand how happy this made me).

I won a blue Peter badge for sending in a recipe which I took out of the Be-Ro cook book and they made them on an episode.

Over 35 years ago I was given a beautiful silk scarf by Bertrand Goldschmidt who was the last ever research assistant to work for Marie Curie. I've kept it wrapped in the tissue paper he gave it to me in, with his lovely letter. It was a thank you for looking out some information for him from my bosses files.

Sausagedogsarethebest · 15/10/2021 13:32

I've also been to a charity auction party at Richard Branson's house (invited through work).

Am I the only one who is wondering how you first found out you had this eyeball-poking skill?
caketiger · 15/10/2021 13:37

@FluffyBooBoo

My fun fact is that I have twice left cities very soon before they had massive issues.

One the morning before riots, the other the day before multiple terror attacks. I feel very fortunate.

That is not fun.....
Kb2942 · 15/10/2021 13:39

I found out my best friend in the same class as me at primary school was my half sister. Everyone said we looked alike but didn't think much off.

Turns out, my bio father was a womaniser and had 2 babies with 2 different woman 6 weeks apart... he's also got 5 other kids so 7 in total plus j have 3 siblings on my mums side so yes I technically have 9 brothers and sisters but Ive never seem much of my dads side!

Onlyfoolsandhorseswork · 15/10/2021 13:42

My birthday is the same date the titanic sank
The hillsbrough disaster and the Boston bombings
It’s also 5 days before hitlers (it’s the only way my dad remembers it!)

I had a teddy bear as a child
‘Knockers’ and I went everywhere together

I can rap the song ‘the Bartman’ by Bart Simpson, word for word off the top of my head (god knows why)

I collect vintage my little ponies-and they are proudly displayed on a bookshelf in my lounge

sillysmiles · 15/10/2021 13:49

I once got someone to strip on stage because I told him to!

MrsMoastyToasty · 15/10/2021 13:53

I once took part in a guinness world record attempt.

FluffyBooBoo · 15/10/2021 14:07

It would have been a lot less fun had I stayed where I was Grin
