AIBU to think that bigger ladies still want to wear vests and T-shirts?

I'm a size 22, and desperately looking for nice vest tops and T-shirts. Tonight I Googled 'plus size ladies vest tops' and a company called Principals came up with a photo of a vest top in what looked like a lovely colour. I clicked straight through, thinking 'I'll have one of those to start off', then when I saw what an AMAZING selection of colours they had available, and also noticed that they appear to have good 'green' credentials, I was all set to place a massive order for tops in lots of exciting, different colours. I then looked at the size chart, only to find that the biggest size they make is an 18 - 20. My heart sank, I was SO disappointed. So am I being unreasonable in thinking that there are lots of other bigger ladies, who still want to buy vests and T's, and if so, would you be ready to bombard this company and ask them not to leave us out?

Try Curvissa

Cocomarine · 13/10/2021 13:48

I just looked on Curvissa and the photos looked lovely. Imagine my disappointment when I read they were sizes 14-22.

I am size 8.

Who would like to bombard Curvissa?

[quote jubbablub]Lucy and Yak go up to a 4XL, which is a size 32.

Their stock on plus size items is appalling. FYI

They are also quite problematic as the were really shitty and made themselves the victim when challenged on this.

@Neonplant err, pretty sure Cocomarine was being facetious to highlight OP's unreasonableness.....

Cocomarine · 13/10/2021 14:34

Do you think I am actually suggesting that people bombard Curvissa, @Neonplant ? 🤣

I don’t think for a moment that size 8s should complain about clothing availability, or complain to one individual shop.

I’m actually not even a size 8 - I chose that as a size that was outside Curvissa’s 14-32.

I was making the point to OP, who was being ridiculous in suggesting that people “bombard” (her word) Principals. It would be as ridiculous to do that, as it would be for people to “bombard” Curvissa.

So keep your embarrassment - I’m not ashamed of myself at all.

sonjadog · 13/10/2021 14:35

Obviously that comment was meant facetiously.

I am the same size, OP. What you want is available at thousands of shops. Just buy one somewhere else.

I mean...Simply Be, Yours, Evans, Very, River Island, Curvissa, PLT, Monsoon, Phase 8, Karen Millen and many other brands all do plus size vest tops. Not sure why you're upset that this one specific brand doesn't?

Wazzzzzzzup · 13/10/2021 14:39

That's bit overreaction Neon...
The poster has a point with the "bombarding". Which is where i belive they were aiming.
Not everyone sells all aizes, suggesting bombarding them to sell x size is bit ridiculous.
