Just that really. It was one of those really large selections for DJ's 50th.

He hid it from the dc and now we can't find it anywhere.

AIBU to be upset about this (lighthearted)?

Car boot
Under stairs
Utility room
Under bed in any spare room
Dining room side cupboard

Failing that garage ....

And if your DH has "looked/searched" and you have any DS's who have "looked/searched" tgen check where they have "boy looked"
And you will hopefully find them

averylongtimeago · 05/10/2021 22:11

The kids have eaten them and disposed of the evidence.

DukeofEarlGrey · 05/10/2021 22:13

Behind the radiator?

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 05/10/2021 22:17

I'm afraid to say, you won't find them until you have lost something else and you're looking for that.

Only then will you find the chocolate, and you will be to frantic looking for the other thing to appreciate your good find.

We live in a bungalow and it's not that big which makes things even worse.

As for "boy look", Dd has also been on the case and she is an absolute whizz at locating hidden contraband. I'm pretty sure she hasn't found them and 'disposed' of them though!

I am worried about this happening. I can imagine myself casting the box to one side as I find the car keys / passport / wallet, etc Er no - I'd be troughing the lot in one go!

I once found a half eaten Easter egg in my wardrobe hidden on a shelf under clothes..whilst looking for Christmas presents 🤣

IAmSantaOhYesIAm · 05/10/2021 22:25

On top of the kitchen units, pushed to the very back, get on a chair and look.
Inside the weekend going away bag
At the back of the Tupperware drawer/cupboard - you can’t see the chocolates because the Tupperware has taken over the drawer/cupboard…..

Or, did you give them away as a present?

Frostine · 05/10/2021 22:26

Mice like chocolate ..............

RedRiverShore · 05/10/2021 22:27

Left in the car or bag

TheYearOfSmallThings · 05/10/2021 22:28

Did you shove them up on top of the kitchen cupboards?

Knittedfairies · 05/10/2021 22:28

They're under the sofa (with a bauble that might have fallen off the Christmas tree)

savagebaggagemaster · 05/10/2021 22:36

I can't believe it!
I was flossing my teeth and something made me look out into the bedroom through a crack in the shower room door and I spotted them!
They were wedged underneath the antique pine chest of drawers! On the floor! (Luckily they were well wrapped up so they shouldn't contain too much cat hair tumble weed)
I'm sure the only reason I was mysteriously drawn to their hiding place was due to some positive Mumsnet vibes. Grin
Thank you everyone for helping me to locate them. You can now all choose one for yourself. Wink

Congratulations OP! Is it the Dessert selection? Cheesecake please!

pickingdaisies · 05/10/2021 22:45

Thank goodness I was getting quite anxious! So anxious that I've had to make sure my lily O'Brien salted caramel buttons were still in the kitchen. (They were. Now they're in me)
I was on the verge of offering my DH for his chocolate divining skills, too. Uncanny how he finds the stuff.

Purplepeoniesdroppingpetals · 05/10/2021 22:47

@Cuddlyrottweiler

DH lost his very expensive sunglasses. Looked everywhere for weeks. I bought him some identical replacements for his birthday. Two weeks later he went to put them in the sunglasses compartment in the car but there were already a pair there 🙄 so look in the most obvious place is my suggestion.
Could you please find my Ralph Lauren glasses then? much loved - I only have the case now 😟
cricketmum84 · 05/10/2021 22:48

Oops... were they yours?? Blush

BeaLola · 05/10/2021 22:52

Probably karma for flossing your teeth

How many are left ?

IncessantNameChanger · 05/10/2021 22:53

I bet the kids are them.

I only ever get a small enough shop of treats for e everyone to get a chance in one day. It's like planet of the apes otherwise. They will gorge like its survival of the fittest otherwise. This way I can work out that everyone gets at least one treat.

savagebaggagemaster · 05/10/2021 23:29

It is this one. Only 8 had been snaffled before I relocated it!

I once lost a box of chocolates and accused the family of eating them. A few months later I cleaned the top shelf of the pantry and Blush.
I just ate them and never told a soul, till now.
