To ask for a hand hold

My 11 month old is in hospital with a severe infection, and they are looking for sepsis too they said. She's started her IV antibiotics but she's restless and groaning in her sleep. Her temp is spiking again.

I'm so worried about her, I can't sleep at all, even though the nurses are being great and all the monitors are keeping an eye on her. Sepsis is such a scary word.

Oh dear, I'm feeling anxious again. DD has developed a temperature tonight and now has a cough on top of everything. The nurses did say that this might happen and try not to worry if I comes down with paracetamol or ibuprofen, but I think I'm going to give 111 or out of hours in the morning anyway just to be sure.
So stressful. We have no petrol now so nightmare to get back to a&e if needed

How is she op and how are you. It’s a nightmare when little ones are unwell. They bounce back quickly and you are left feeling shattered. Hope she is better today xx

Thank you. Spoke to a hospital nurse for reassurance and they said she was fine as long as not struggling with breathing or energy etc. GP visit next week if any issues are still ongoing then.
Feel so exhausted with it all. I know as soon as she's better my eldest will go down with something from school 🤣 Sod's law
