We gratefully accepted other people's cast off furniture when we first got married, thinking that we would replace it with new stuff gradually when we were earning more money. A job. I've been working on and off never quite realising my undiagnosed autism was preventing me from succeeding.

I've got a patchy work history and a five year break to have my kids. It feels nigh on impossible to get back into the work force despite being fairly bright and having a levels and a degree etc.

A house of our own instead of being stuck renting

A job which involves tinkering around on a laptop without having to speak to anyone.

The washing to magically wash itself and put itself back in the drawers.
