MusicTeacherSussex · 21/09/2021 12:36

A fucking break

TheBigFatMermaid · 21/09/2021 12:36

Batteries for my mobility scooter.

I'm currently pretty much grounded, as I can't afford the £180 for new ones.

Sewaccidentprone · 21/09/2021 12:37

For the after effects of my migraine to go away and to never have one again

muddyford · 21/09/2021 12:39

To live closer to my beloved family.
For my puppy to be ready to come home.
To have a superb cleaner.

grey12 · 21/09/2021 12:40

My own house Sad and DH not needing to go away for work

oakleaffy · 21/09/2021 12:41

A nice house slightly out of Bristol and a new car.
Bristol is a great city but the traffic is insane.
Car less at moment as cycle.

bellsbuss · 21/09/2021 12:43

2 weeks in either the Maldives, Mauritius or Barbados with DH and our children, a nanny for the duration of this holiday so that our youngest feral child is kept well away from me Grin

Spidey66 · 21/09/2021 12:44

A right arm that works and doesn't give me pain, and being able to shower, dress eat my good. I had it a week ago before falling off my bike and sustaining a fracture to the top of my humerus near my shoulder.

And I hope MN doesn't mind....but I went to a&eConfused I know how precious MN gets about using NHS and A&E when despite being in severe pain a d feeling certain I'd broken something and bawling my eyes out, i knew i wasnt going to die.

Spidey66 · 21/09/2021 12:45

Sorry for typos, I'm sure you understand why

youvemademyshitlist · 21/09/2021 12:45

a pain free day
my dad to be alive
a baby (IVF attempt number 6 has failed)

oakleaffy · 21/09/2021 12:45

For young people to be able to get their own houses in areas where they grew up.
Around Bristol and London it’s almost impossible if someone is single and self employed.

People in pretty rural areas are priced out but second home owners and buy to let.
Young people are stuffed unless they have a fat inheritance.

notelegant · 21/09/2021 12:46

In no particular order:

  1. A holiday alone.
  1. My employer to pay me correctly each month rather than me always having to chase them because of underpayment and never getting a reply Sad
  1. A new car.
  1. A clean and tidy house.
  1. DH to not wfh all the time.
  1. Friends to go out with.
oakleaffy · 21/09/2021 12:48

@Spidey66
Ouch!
Nasty.
Our dad had a very similar nasty fracture falling off a moped.
Incredibly disabling and painful .

RowanAlong · 21/09/2021 12:48

Cleaner.
Healthy relationship with my mother.
Hair. (It fell out on one side during lockdown and is taking ages to grow back - now at a short mullet stage).

PermanentTemporary · 21/09/2021 12:49
  1. Tougher sentences for parole violators
  2. World peace

(Sorry, don't love the film but love Sandra Bullock on that line)

  1. Sex with new DP. I have Covid.
  2. For DM to be content back in her flat and not constantly miserable and trying to move.
  3. For rightmove to disappear (would help immensely with 2.)
NationMcKinley · 21/09/2021 12:50
  1. To weight 9.7 stone for the rest of my life
  2. 10 years younger but everything else in my life to be the exact same
  3. For covid to fuck right off along with the Tories and for the NHS to be properly funded and managed especially primary care and mental health services including CAMHS.

(Hmmmm maybe slightly more than 3 and all sadly pretty much impossible)

SoloISland · 21/09/2021 12:53

3 stone lighter
Retire

Thecurliestwurly · 21/09/2021 12:55
  1. The same opportunities my parents had. If we were in the position we are now 25 years ago we'd be very comfortable and own our own home. One of us would work PT easily, instead of both FT. Impossible now, so much inequality between generations.
  1. The paychecks of the top 1% of earners gets distributed among the rest of us. It wouldn't be much (if anything at all) but it would be nice for them to know what it's like to have no money for a change.
  1. A competent government.
  1. A holiday on my own.
GreenTeaBlackCoffeeAndRedWine · 21/09/2021 12:56

A night of sleep that actually makes me feel rested
A holiday
A glass of wine
A new house

HerRoyalNotness · 21/09/2021 12:56

A job. One that offers a good work life balance.
To be finished my degree. I’d I hadn’t taken the summers off and injured myself I’d be done now! Start again today. 6 modules to go 😭

loopylindi · 21/09/2021 12:57

A new taller, thinner healthy body
The wisdom to keep it that way
new feet (I hate my fuckin' feet- always have done)
the ability to eat a whole tub of delic ice cream without the consequences.

Maybebaby111 · 21/09/2021 12:59

Another baby Sad but because of fertility issues, it would be intervention only for us and even then not certain.

HerRoyalNotness · 21/09/2021 13:01

I feel you! I dented my humerus in February from a reverse dislocation after a fall, and tore my labrum. So much pain. Also my right arm. I had to go to A&E two days in a row, the second day screaming involuntarily from the pain. Never felt anything like it. I’m still only 60% mobility, but it’s better. Sending you healing vibes!
