Notice of hearing

Posting here for traffic. NC for obvious reasons.
I pulled out of a junction to turn right onto a main road. I bumped into a front wheel of a car that proceeded to go around me as I made my manouver.
They've escalated it to the point where now I have a notice of hearing from the court. Is there anyway this can be stopped? I don't have the courage to defend myself and wish it hadn't got to this point.

This doesn't sound great OP. Have you told your insurers what actually happened now?

I'd say you're to blame and accept liability and stop lying.

Someone did this to my DP when he was driving for about a year. They were coming down a dual carriage way and she was going so fast and didn't look and clipped the passenger side of the car. Anyway, she kept lying and lying and it was frustrating and upsetting. They saw through her lies eventually when they realised she said DP was on her left side and he was going so fast her 4x4 was shaken Hmm but DP's damage was on the left. So how could he have possibly been on the left side of her. Don't be that person.

I have to say, it's one of my pet hates when there is two lines of traffic that someone lets someone out, and no one takes into account the other car.

A few years ago, I was on a two lane road that merged into one with a side road just before the merge point. The person in the left hand lane let someone out and they tried to force their way past me, I had no where to go. They scratched the entire length of their car along mine so luckily the damage was mostly theirs. Thankfully the insurers saw sense but the guy was so adamant he was in the right. I was already on the road! How could it be my fault?!

It's done. I really appreciate all the feedback.
