We’re all still a bit clueless. What a mess.

[/quote] Thankyou for posting this. I am more moved by that mans speech than any platitudes given by any political in the 20 years since 9/11.

Gods look after those who lost their lives, and those affected then and since.

We were watching usual tv when someone came in and told us a plane had collided with the first tower. We switched channels to the news, but were convinced it must have been a terrible accident. The second plane hit while we were watching.

I had a haircut booked, drove into town, it was deserted apart from the crowds clustered around the TVs in Curry’s window. No one could believe it. Got to hairdressers late, no one there had even heard about it, very surreal trying to explain.

Spent the afternoon switching between news channels, expecting any moment to hear about similar in the UK, and horrified at the footage from America. Aweful. There are actually no words.

I watched a documentary on the children of 911. Think there were 154 children not born, who lost their fathers that day. One whose mother was supposed to be in the twin towers but had a meeting cancelled but their father was called in last minute.

Sorry, I meant awful.

Over been watching 911 docs too. I posted this on another thread but there’s one about sky about the four flights. It’s the crews and some of the passengers.
Heartbreaking, especially that some people changed their original schedules so they could be on those particular flights.
Amy King and her boyfriend were both flight attendants on one of the WTC flights. They were not scheduled to be on that flight that day but Amy’s sister asked her if she could change her plans so she could babysit her children.
Obviously a cruel twist of fate that it happened to be one of those doomed flights.
