Do you ever think you’re really lucky?

I do, but I don’t take it for granted and don’t thing I deserve it.

Not anything special but life hasn’t beaten me down as such.

And it’s good to be reminded, isn’t it.
Of course I will always find something to be angsty about but good to take a step back and realise how lucky I am really in lots of ways.

I’ve had my fair share of bad luck ( losing both parents by the time I was 17). However, I have an amazing family ( especially my auntie who stepped in when my mum died) a lovely husband and two great boys ( 22 and 19). I feel lucky but I often think something crappy is around the corner waiting to happen. X

I love this. Currently curled up on sofa with the dog and watching old Murder She Wrote episodes. Was reading a thread about the NI increase / food prices and realised that I was lucky that I'm in a position that these things won't have a disproportionate effect on our lifestyle. That I have a home / food / business / lovely DP ( who plays golf so can watch Murder She Wrote to my heart's content) and thought yes I'm lucky.

I'm aware that some is luck, some is hard work etc but often it is a case of being able to see that I am in a wonderful privileged position that many would love to be in and being thankful for that - whether it is pure good luck or planning etc. I have a nice life!

I’ve been saying “I get to….” all morning and, despite a few challenges, my day has been feeling a lot more positive than usual. You may have just changed my life.

Oh wow. Your post made me think... I'm one of those people who love to moan and focus on the negatives, but yet funny and easygoing so I have lots of friends and am quite popular with people, so they kinda bear with me. However I do need to see posts like this more often- I take life for granted all the time... I have a house, a family, two wonderful children, my parents, lots of friends, bread and butter and a little bit of jam. It's good to appreciate life and be grateful, thank you for that!
