In my experience "unwritten rules" in any sphere of life are usually made up by "regulars" who like to use them as a means of belittling those who are new/infrequent. Its a way of unconsciously policing any clique. Don't know the "rules"? Can't be job our gang then.
If it's not written down, showing on signs around the site, or included in the site rules you are given on arrival, it's not a thing, whether the regulars would like it to be or not.
This....
I wouldn't jump through someone's garden pots as a shortcut... But empty grass between two static caravans that will save me a much longer walk... Absolutely...
I'm not shouting /peering thriguh their windows
. It takes me, what 5 seconds to walk through between 2 caravans...
Yes es the owning the road stuff...
Several of us are doing battle locally... We park our cars outside the main parking area in town... As it cost almost 1000£ per year for a permit...
I regularly move my car so its not sitting outside someone's house all the time ...
We NEVER block drives. All the houses in this estate have drives for 2/3 cars and fairly long front gardens...
The number of times we have had notes on windscreens as these house owners have decided they 'own' the 4 or 5 spaces outside their house on a public road... For their visitors/or themselves.. They don't..
One very unpleasant jobsworth came and shouted at me in the dark, after a long journey home after a distressing day. I was pretty short back... And told him next time he left a nasty message on my car, he could include a copy of the law/bylaws which prevent the public from parking safely on this road.
