It's cold and dark out. I have my candies lit for the first time in months and the heating is on. I feel I'm missing something??

The fire in the log burner.

First light of the season today. Bloody lovely Grin

VVKills27 · 30/08/2021 22:03

That feeling when you get out of the bath, put your pj’s on, lie on the sofa with a lovely blanket & lamp light. Put some trashy escapism telly on, admire pretty flowers on the mantlepiece, a hot cuppa to hand & a period interiors mag to flick through during the ads & my cute cat nearby purring. Cosy in the extreme.

SerenShine · 30/08/2021 22:38

@IndiaDreaming

Kissing my dog on the head.
Awww I love this one. I also love kissing my dogs cheeks. And when he's just woken up and looks at me and wags his tail .. melts me!

After two days in hospital with one of my children being cosy at home tonight has been wonderful
Heating on, a belated roast dinner, bot baths, snuggly pjs all squashed on the sofa watching television. Hot milk and biscuits for them a nice glass of red wine for mum now all in bed. After hospital click clacks the pleasure of my own bed is unparalleled!

Love the ushering in of autumn

Cleverpolly3 · 30/08/2021 22:40

Sorry I should have added three cats and a dog also squashed on sofas and beds now Smile

I'm still laughing at bot baths 🤣🤣🤣
ReeseWitherfork · 30/08/2021 22:41

No to cats, yes to my little spaniel ❤️ I find fairy lights a bit twee but I've got a few of the bottle lights in old spirit bottles scattered around my bookcase and that's peak autumn for me

yogz1976 · 30/08/2021 22:43

candle-lit bubble bath with box of chocs/glass of wine, soft music playing in background and then falling asleep watching Catherine Cookson.

Cleverpolly3 · 30/08/2021 22:47

@SerenShine

Holothane · 30/08/2021 22:49

Cup of tea, shortbreads and quantum leap on TV

Megameg56 · 31/08/2021 06:14

Goodness,where do you live...it isnt that wintery where I live.

Ihaveattached · 31/08/2021 06:36

Getting up early before work and having my porridge made properly in a pan. With a cup of tea. In a quiet house. Bliss.

JesusIsAnyNameFree · 31/08/2021 06:41

Fluffy socks, hot drink, fireplace, candles and looking at autumn themed things on pinterest. I bloody love autumn.

@Megameg56

England. It's cold.

VestaTilley · 31/08/2021 06:48

A really good book or favourite radio or tv programme - usually one I’ve watched/heard a lot before.

A blanket and cat on my lap, cup of tea in hand, cushions behind my head as I doze on the sofa. I had this yesterday while DH and DS napped - bliss.

VestaTilley · 31/08/2021 06:51

@DukeOfEarlGrey @Bortles yes to both of these!!

Chocadoddledoo · 31/08/2021 07:14

Heated throw, hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and a flake crumbled over the top and a film. Especially on a stormy day.
