To (smugly) show you my new bathroom that cost £150...

The other day I posted asking for advice about how to revamp my bathroom in my first home (first pic) and I received some really helpful comments, alongside the typical Mumsnet ones that are a) bitchy and b) unhelpful 😁

But, here is the end result! We spent no more than £150 and did it all ourselves! Yay :-)

So the power that was for the over sink light/shaver point is now powering the led mirror - I feel DH may have some more DIY ahead!

It looks lovely , it’s a nice colour that you’ve put on the walls . I’d just move the bin to somewhere else as it looks a bit squeezed in .

The OP has included some photos of the type of thing she wanted and someone posted “I don’t mean to piss on your chips or anything but the whole grey thing is so over”

Are you going to do the grouting in the bath as well at some point (I see you've done over the sink) or are you leaving it grey?

I just don’t think the OP was asking “shall I make my bathroom grey?” Or “what is on trend for a bathroom right now?” She posted a picture of a grey bathroom and was asking advice for how to get that, like DIY etc. I agree it wasn’t overly bitchy, hence why I included the and emojis, but I think that’s the sort of reply the OP was referring to- unhelpful in terms of what she was actually asking iyswim.
