I am paranoid about fire risk.
Do you all leave it on?

Vaselike · 26/08/2021 21:09

Yes.

Not very paranoid.

Wowcherarestalkingme · 26/08/2021 21:09

Yes but generally only when I need something dry for the following morning. My mum leaves hers on overnight quite regularly

UnfinishedBunting · 26/08/2021 21:09

Yes.

whatswithtodaytoday · 26/08/2021 21:12

Yes. In fact it's sometimes on for days, in the depths on winter when there's always washing to dry.

alphabeticalabc · 26/08/2021 21:13

Yep. On for a couple of days non stop sometimes!
Never leave the tumble drier on when we aren't home tho.

KeyWorker · 26/08/2021 21:13

I do. I put washing on it at bedtime, with the cover on. In the morning I remove the cover, turn it off and then put the clothes away in the afternoon.

Malteser71 · 26/08/2021 21:14

Yes. Ditto never the tumble dryer.

GreenTortoise · 26/08/2021 21:16

I wouldn't. Not worth the risk.

MoiraNotRuby · 26/08/2021 21:17

I used to but mine broke, just beeps and doesn't warm up, and no one knows how to fix it Sad

lindauk5 · 26/08/2021 21:17

Always, it's been left solidly for a couple days before as it's a bit of a case of out of sight out of mind.

refreshingseahorse · 26/08/2021 21:18

Yes. The cat really liked sleeping on it.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/08/2021 21:21

No because I’m paranoid. But I do trust Lakeland. I should leave it on overnight really.

Rocketpants50 · 26/08/2021 21:22

Yes, daughter normally needs to dry uniform/ dry an art project/ rise dough. It has been left on for days on end...

latte101 · 26/08/2021 21:23

Yes. All the time.

drspouse · 26/08/2021 21:24

Yes but we put it on for 8 hours on a timer so only if we hang up wash in the evening.

Nsky · 26/08/2021 21:24

Yes, tho turn off if not needed smaller airer

Comedycook · 26/08/2021 21:25

Only turn mine off when we go on holiday!

MrsTulipTattsyrup · 26/08/2021 21:28

Yes! I like having my labour saving devices working while I sleep. To my mind it’s no different from leaving anything else electrical turned on at the mains - it doesn’t get hot enough for the heat of the bars to set anything on fire, so it would only be dangerous if something shorted out and caused it to spark. And with a fused plug that’s very unlikely anyway.

AliceMcK · 26/08/2021 21:50

I never turn mine off.

ohthatbloodycat · 26/08/2021 22:48

I usually use mine as a normal clothes airer, without the heat. The stuff dries by the following day. If it's a particularly big load, or if I'm in a rush for something, I'll switch it on overnight. It never occurred to me not to!

SwimmingUnderwater · 26/08/2021 23:02

I do but I find them generally useless anyway.

Motnight · 26/08/2021 23:03

Yes. Have it on for a few days at a time regularly.

autumnboys · 26/08/2021 23:03

Yes, I leave it on. :)

Thatswhatmamasaid · 26/08/2021 23:13

Yes, my clothes would never dry in the winter otherwise....
