Is it ok to use Grindr if you are a teacher?

Asking this on behalf of a friend, my friend is about to start his teacher training to become a secondary school teacher. He uses Grindr and is wondering whether it would best to delete it due to becoming a teacher as he doesn't know if there are polices that discourages use of using apps like Grindr in case of coming across underage kids which I'm sure there are on Grindr like any other dating app. Is my friend overthinking things or is he right in being concerned?

It's not a problem using apps but be very cautious over what is publicly accessible information wise

Oh, is it the turn of Grindr today? Is that why the threads been bumped? This is the third thread I’ve read on AIBU today involving this app. Has it been in the news recently or something?

I use dating apps and plenty of colleagues have met their partners on there. I teach primary so no issues with children..however I have had 3 or 4 dads message me on there of children I have had in my classes previously!
