Call the midwife.🤭😁😁

liveforsummer · 06/08/2021 16:04

I got way more in to YOU than I expected as I didn't think it would be my thing.

Icequeen01 · 06/08/2021 18:41

bubblebath62636 · 06/08/2021 18:45

Recently finished Snowpiercer, Sexlife and South Park, loved them all.

Currently watching Orphan Black, amazing show.

Frazzledd · 06/08/2021 19:17

@bubblebath62636 What was Snowpiercer like? Was it better than the film?

bubblebath62636 · 06/08/2021 19:24

Frazzledd

I'd say better than the film although drawn out in places. A lot more gruesome than the movie.

WeAllHaveWings · 06/08/2021 19:26

Currently watching

Homeland - 6 episodes into series 1
The Hand maids tale - just started

And.......Miami Vice - 😳 a bit of 80s indulgence (it is crap!)

HungryHippo11 · 06/08/2021 19:31

The US Office for fun
Unforgotten for serious

Frazzledd · 06/08/2021 19:46

Thanks @bubblebath62636 - (really didn't rate the film!) The previews for the series looked much better, it's back on the list Grin

TurquoiseDragon · 06/08/2021 19:59

I've only just got Netflix, and so I'm letting the DC hog it first, they'll get used to it soon, and I'll get on with my own watching. Am planning on watching the Witcher first, and then seeing what else is available.

BraveBananaBadge · 06/08/2021 23:37

Oh this is my chance to plug Rita! Has anyone ever seen it? Really entertaining Danish series about a teacher struggling with a chaotic home life. Mille Dinesen is as Rita is brilliant - much more easygoing than typical Scandi dramas. (Netflix, subtitled)

cheapskatemum · 07/08/2021 17:42

@Marmalady75 I haven't worked out how to PM Mumsnetters on my phone, otherwise I'd do that to discuss the crews! I think Ben the chef is my favourite, who is yours?

HideousKinky · 07/08/2021 18:32

About a decade after the rest of the world, I finally watched "Breaking Bad" earlier this year (all 62 episodes!) and have now moved on to "Better Call Saul"

I'm so jealous, I've seen both series about 3 times now- nothing has come close to BB since, except Saul- !
HideousKinky · 07/08/2021 19:56

Wow that's quite an accolade Frazzledd!!!!
I am enjoying "Better Call Saul" enormously and will savour every episode (currently in season 2)

Snowdrop30 · 07/08/2021 20:03

The first series of Medici was ace, but just couldn't get into the second one.

Edmontine · 07/08/2021 20:09

In short succession:

Money Heist

and

The Last Panthers.

Both involving international crime and detection - but whereas the first was high octane, witty, colourful and magnificent, the second proceeded at a much slower pace, with characters who mostly spoke only reluctantly, and had all the colour drained from the screen. It was absorbing but depressing. Both violent - but the Money Heist violence was much more original.

FionnulaTheCooler · 07/08/2021 20:15

Recently finished Sweet Tooth, it was good.
Tiger King is worth a watch if you've not already seen it.
Currently working my way through Friends from the beginning with DD, up to season 6 now. When were finished with that I think we will give Stranger Things a go.

MiaMarshmallows · 07/08/2021 22:26

I hated Breaking Bad and Orange is the new Black. Found both incredibly boring.
It always interests me how different peoples tastes are

WorldsBestBoss · 07/08/2021 22:33

The US Office is just on permanently in the background in my house.

Highly recommend Ozark and You if you like things gritty.

Anonymous48 · 07/08/2021 22:42

If Real Housewives is what you enjoy, I don't think you'll like any of my recommendations!

HummingBeeBox · 07/08/2021 22:46

Stranger Things for the millionth time, we love it

EmeraldShamrock · 07/08/2021 22:48

.

postcardfromme · 07/08/2021 22:48

Orange is the new black and Pose on Netflix

Helga55 · 07/08/2021 23:09

Sex Education, with Gillian Anderson, was dubious to begin with, as not a huge fan of hers, but I LOVED it! Absolutely hilarious in parts and had me laughing so much I thought I was going to lose a lung

Bosch, brilliant, loved all the seasons, hope the spin off happens 🤞🏻

Hannibal, again, love the dark side of Mads Mikkleson acting, a bit gory at times, but excellent screen play

The Witcher, took a couple of episodes to get into, not a huge 'fantasy' fan, but was absolutely glued to it by the end of the first season & can't wait for the second
