Enjoyed it many years ago but you are restricted if eating out.And the folk running the eateries know this.

Lovely place. And we ate out every night in June, no restrictions other than masks when walking in/out of the venue and tables being distanced

Tenby is lovely. The beach is great, and it's a good base for seeing other bits of the area. Caldey Island is a nice trip out too. Great fish and chips, although I'd agree not a huge selection of reasonably priced restaurants otherwise.

My parents went in June and said it was heaving. They were staying in town but between 9 and about 4pm there was no parking.
They fortunately were self catering and had booked ahead at the few places that were open, walk ins were being turned away.
They said the town was a bit overwhelming with how busy it was.

That said, they are active types and drove out each day to do coastal walks etc every day.

We went pre-pandemic but thought it was lovely. Had brilliant weather so spent most of the time on the beaches, which were superb. Kids liked wandering around the town centre and spending money in the many, many sweet and icecream shops. It is definitely somewhere pretty with drives out to other places. We went to Pembroke Castle.

Lots of new places have opened up to eat so a good choice. Tenby is very busy but great beach. Loads to do and see in surrounding area, beaches, castles, folly farm etc.

I love Tenby. It's my first choice of holiday places to visit. It's not as perfectly picturesque as St Ives but there is plenty to do and the beaches are great.

Went recently, we also thought there was little choice to eat and very old fashioned, might have been looking in the wrong part of town I suppose

Eek, we’re going on Friday and I’ve only booked one restaurant for Sunday lunch as I didn’t think it would be that essential to book other meals. I’d better revisit that and book some more restaurants!

Tenby is breath takingly beautiful with two massive beaches and a harbour with small beach. There are lots if pubs serving food but menus are a bit samey, steak, burgers, fish that kind of thing. There are a few higher end restaurants but they do get booked up quickly. Lots of lovely fish and seafood if you like it though.
As others said it gets extremely busy. This put us off the last time we went. No busier than somewhere like St Ives though.
Plenty of gorgeous beaches to drive to if you want to get away from the crowds though. The Pembrokeshire national park is stunning.
Lots of great boat trips to go on from the harbour too.

It’s one of my favourite places - wonderful beaches, picturesque, nice food. But to be avoided in high summer as always rammed. Goodness knows what it’s like now. I will visit mid-September.

Tenby is lovely. I imagine it will be rammed, but if you have a car there are plenty of beautiful places nearby. I would go and self cater/live on fish and chips

Dd went with her friends family a few weeks ago. They loved it but they had booked all their meals out well in advance. Even so a few places cancelled due to staff shortages

I'm local-ish to Tenby. You won't be stuck for walks/days out, it's a gorgeous part of the world, but be prepared for parking in Tenby in August to be very busy and to struggle to park. Check Pembrokeshire County Council on Facebook, they have been regularly posting to warn people that parking is full on a lot of the coastal areas.

It's a lovely place, and lots to see in the area. Had many a happy holiday there with the kids, but it does get very packed.

We've been several times, though not during summer it's beautiful but as has been said parking can be difficult.

Not sure what pp means about eating out. We found plenty of places to choose from.

Love Tenby and the surrounding area - it's one of our favourite places in the UK. We were there at the end June/beginning July during our school holidays and it was busy but not horrendously so - it's a seaside resort in peak season, so to be expected really. The beach and town are kept clean and it was great to see people enjoying a holiday in the UK.

Tenby is lovely but we went for a week about ten years ago and I thought we were going to get scurvy! Most places seemed to be very old fashioned and not a lot of fresh food - I love fish and chips but can't eat it everyday! Hopefully that's improved though.

Tenby is really lovely, and there’s lots of other nice places in Pembrokeshire which you could visit. Folly Farm isn’t far and is great for kids

Ten by is fabulous. There’s loads for children to do and my heart still swells with happiness when I think of the times I spent at Folley Farm and the Dinosaur Park with my mum and my children . I’d give anything to be there with my grandchildren right now.
