Agree with PP’s. Sounds like a non apology, like you don’t actually think you’ve done anything wrong. I’m guessing the person who received the message feels the same, hence the thread?

Did you just want everyone to say 'yes, it's perfectly put'? What is the point of asking if you're going to argue?

What about “sorry I didn’t intend to hurt you” or simply “I’m really sorry let me treat you to a meal out”.
