AIU to hate my star sign?

This is something that has always bothered me. Always. Since I was around 15 and actually looked up my star sign.
If you haven't guessed - I'm a LEO.
I am all the positives. Everyone I know says it of me. My biggest "problem" is trying to please everyone. I put soo much thought into everything I do. When I get it wrong - I quietly torture myself (in my head) about how awful I am. Even if it's nothing all that big. When I do something; I put 100% of my time and energy into it.
I love my family and friends. I would do anything for any one of them. I spoil everyone's children (on DH's side - I adore all my nieces and nefews)
My family - however - always portray me as the negatives. I love my sisters, even though we have had a very rocky relationship. Since moving away from home with DH; they think I'm selfish. Even though we have built a beautiful life. We got married, had 3 children. They are welcome any time. Open invitation. We go back home regularly to see everyone.
This somehow makes me selfish. And apparently self centered.

Leo's are known for being generous. But they're also known for being all these horrible things. It makes me soo sad.
Any other Leo's out there HATE their star sign?
Does anyone else not like their star sign or identify with it (not just leo's)?
Just wondering.
Totally lighthearted. Obviously I know it doesn't matter in the great grand scheme of things. I am (I hope) an overall good person.

Taurus/Gemini cusp, so I get to pick and choose a bit. Seriously though, I think horoscopes are like tarot etc. Not literally true but if done well they can useful conduits for intuition and reflection. Basically they help you articulate the things that are already on your mind and in your heart.

Oh, I'm a Scorpio and trust me, people hate us way more than Leos. My next week's horoscope astroyod.com/horoscopes/next-week says that I'm settling quarrels pretty well, and that's true, but I have no idea why people think that Scorpios are so hard to work with. I know that people's signs have some similarities with their personality traits, but nothing more.

I’m a Leo too. I love being a Leo! It’s obviously the best one. I don’t believe in star signs at ALL except mine, which makes me utterly bonkers I know. But I think that’s a pretty Leo-ish thing to feel.

Astrology is the prescience to astronomy, in much the same way that alchemy is to chemistry. There is literally no way distant stars can affect our personalities or what happens in our lives. Carl Sagan did a really good job explaining this.
