I hate it. But I’ve had a lot of surgery (non comestic) in this area so looking at non surgical options. Fat freezing ? Cool sculpt? Can I just stick my stomach in a bucket of ice every night - would that work?

Op these are mine! It's that shelf that never goes.
I exercise 4/5 times a week so it's no good people suggesting you tone up and lose weight, if you've had big babies or c section then it's never going to go with exercise
The other pic is me in gym gear where I have some definition but as soon as I take those trousers off it all hangs out. It really bothers me and gets me down Sad

I was told I'd need a tummy tuck & lipo to sort this out

jackstini · 27/07/2021 09:50

@TomAllenWife - I have been told the same - surgery caused it and only surgery will remove it!
@CrunchyKnot - you are very kind - it looks worse in real life!
@Ladywinesalot - it's probably worth a go! & @Essentialironingwater you have a point about getting someone that specialises in diastasis - I will have a Google

It's over 12 years since my last pregnancy so really want to get it sorted before I am 50 next year Shock

Ladywinesalot · 27/07/2021 09:56

@TomAllenWife I have had serval csections and twin preg, my tummy and handover is much worse then either then yours so I feel the pain.

I’m currently tackling with weight loss and exercise.

I would give this ago first before jumping to tummy tuck that’s ££££

Mumtofour1982 · 25/09/2023 23:39

Hey jackstini - what did you decide in the end, I am in a very similar situation and do not want a tummy tuck but would consider Vaser lipo.

thanks

jackstini · 26/09/2023 21:30

Still not made a decision!@Mumtofour1982
I lost 7 lb and it did make a slight difference but not a lot
Currently back to over 10st and not feeling great - still considering
Anyone else done anything?

Mumtofour1982 · 26/09/2023 21:51

After hours of research and calls, I have decided to try and really push with the weight loss. I just cannot justify putting my body through such a huge operation of a tummy tuck - but I guess it was nice to dream. If only Vaser liposuction was an option.

I looked very similar to you.

I started low carbing and the belly pretty much completely went and within weeks too. Still had a very small 'tummy' that noticeably sits on top of my c section scar but it is small, completely unnoticeable in clothes and certainly not worth paying for.

I'd try a lchf diet before surgery in your shoes.

Maydaybankholiday · 26/09/2023 22:26

@GreyCarpet was going to type exactly the same!! I started keto and mine is so much better so bloat free helps a lot. If I ever have some bread or sugar it’s black to big bloated jelly belly. A few days of keto and it’s much flatter, worth a try and so much easier that the surgery

jackstini · 30/09/2023 14:57

Definitely up for trying that
Off to google keto!

Bumblingbee101 · 13/07/2025 22:01

@jackstini I appreciate this is an old thread. Did you ever get anywhere with the weight loss or did you go down the lipo rpute? :)

jackstini · 14/07/2025 21:40

@Bumblingbee101 - I’ve still not got anywhere!
life gets in the way - redundancy, consultancy job and lots of things teens needing me for

Its made me think I do still need to lose some weight, probably cut back on the wine too

Would be interested in anyone else’s success stories
