Neighbours stealing my takeaway

Been waiting ages for a Chinese delivery and when it didn't arrive, I rang but they said it had been delivered.
When I said no it hadn't, they got the delivery person to confirm that it had - delivered to a woman- me.
I asked for a description and now realise it was my neighbour!
I went round to get it back and the lights are all off but... the windows are all open and I can smell MY sweet and sour chicken through the window!
AIBU to keep banging on the door? I am hungry!

Don't worry OP, at least it won't be you who gets indigestion from eating too late in the evening.

I have a take in meal about once a month. When we see on the app that the rider is near my nephew goes outside to make sure it gets to the correct house. Maybe be a bit more proactive next time.

I'm seriously concerned about possible discrimination of chicken balls.

Were they born that way? Is it their fault?

What is their actual identity? Can they self identify?

By any chance did you order x2 sweet and sour chicken balls chips and prawn crackers, if so your neighbour has posted she ate it

I love watching that! Especially when there’s a knock on the door and it’s his gran 😂😂

A delivery person tried to give my oh a kebab the other day. He kept telling the man it wasn't for this address. The delivery person was going on that it was ok, it had been paid for so it's lucky that oh is an honest chap!
The delivery was for 7. Zion Place, which he would likely have passed to get to ours round the corner.
On the other hand, we've changed take-aways due to their delivery drivers ALWAYS getting lost and going to Northdown Road, Zion Place or lord knows where, even with clear instructions and actually being shown the way on numerous occasions - so their loss!!
Sometimes, I think they just knock at random doors instead of looking for the right addresses.
My daughter tells me if we go thru 'Just Eat' and pay by card but don't receive or it's not good, then we will be refunded.
But we might just stick to paying by cash at the door for now, and telling them to go to the right addresses!!!

Is @TrixieThunder your neighbour by any chance?? There's a corresponding thread on the go from someone who took delivery of a mis-addressed Chinese and couldn't track down its proper owner...
