Considering giving in to bombardment with ads for stretchy comfort bras. Do I succumb ? Any recommendations?

I’ve got a massive chest. I’m so sick of bra straps cutting a trench into my shoulders.

Anyone bought one of the many comfort type bras that are everywhere at the moment ? They look a bit like crop tops and have odd sizing - 3x , 4x 4xx, 5x ,5xx, that kind of thing

Any recommendations of ones to buy or avoid ? They don’t have adjustable straps so I’m a bit sceptical
Thanks

I wear them in bed sometimes (also blessed in the bosom department) and some days working from home but don't find they give enough support or shape for out and about. They are better than nothing though and don't dig in.

Soontobe60 · 18/07/2021 21:55

I wear them at home and to sleep in, but not when I go out because they give me one massive boob!
I do find that to avoid the dents you need to have the under band very tight.

Snap 🤣🤣

Desire love on amazon.. £21 for 3.

They are like bravado with the maternity clips but it's been 10 years since I breastfed and I still wear them as they are comfy and cheap!

Dont know what you mean

Oh yes @Soontobe60 the gradual shift to the centre as you walk resulting in a lovely monoboob Grin

I’m around a 34k.

Bought Molke in pregnancy and will not go back to wired bras now. I’m fully supported and comfy as hell.

Thanks for all the replies. Any other brand recommendations for properly huge breasts?

I just want something comfortable and supportive when I am at home. I don’t really care about the shape it gives.

The comfybear ones only seem to go up to an E cup.
What about people with big boobs?

Tigertigertigertiger · 18/07/2021 22:10

@Faircastle yes that’s what I thought.

I have bought 3 bras on the basis of facebook ad videos that claimed they would be amazing. They have always been disappointing and useless. Never again.

Theunamedcat · 18/07/2021 22:12

They feel great but uniboob is not a good look

Faircastle · 18/07/2021 22:12

Bravissimo does sleep bras up to K

BeQuietBrenda · 18/07/2021 22:13

I personally wouldn't bother with any of these bra places that advertise on social media.

I got scammed out of £40,they had gone on and on about the bras being excellent for ladies with large chests and offered multiple large sizes. Looked like a legit website, lots of positive comments on their adverts from big-chested women who love their product, we're skeptical ordering online but ultimately won over by the quality and excellent customer service.

I sent off for my bras. They took 8 weeks to come. I'd been told they get shipped within 2-3 days of ordering (and of course they do, but then they're put on a cargo ship in China) and the very helpful customer service replies were clearly from someone who didn't speak English as a first language (not a problem as such, but I believed I was buying from a UK company), also the replies were baloney - promising the tracking showing my parcel at X depot in Kent....?

So the bras arrive. They're of very poor quality and wouldn't fit my teenage daughter who was a 32C bra size. Let alone my much larger chest.

Back to customer service where I was told that because I used a special offer (it was something like £39 sale price reduced from £80) my purchase wasn't actually eligible for return or refund. All in the small print apparently.

Absolute con.

Steer clear.

Theunamedcat · 18/07/2021 22:13
Yup those are for those less blessed in the norks department they are great for creating where there is none and awful if you have enough for a party
BeQuietBrenda · 18/07/2021 22:16

One more thing - the company name I bought from disappeared off the Internet within weeks but other similar companies kept popping up, all with the seemingly UK based company and a legit looking website, lots of positive comments etc etc.

Tigertigertigertiger · 18/07/2021 22:28

@BeQuietBrenda
Thank you for this.
It’s shocking how scammers exploit us like this.

If I could get my act together and lose a ton of weight my problem would disappear.

Right now I can’t get my act together

I bought these earlier in the year - front fastening, when I had covid fastening a bra at the back was too much effort.
I take a D/E cup, and these are fine - v comfortable.

M&S have these sports bras that go up to an H cup

Another vote for Molke - they have two types and I have and like both. (From recommendations on here, of course.) The original one does tend to give you a bumpy line under anything not v necked because it squishes you forward; only other drawback is it's v warm. The new one is pretty good in terms of line. They are more supportive and comfortable than anything else I have ever had though. And they live in Scotland and accept returns. Good luck.

alexdgr8 · 18/07/2021 22:38

i've heard this about all kinds of womens clothes, esp dresses.
look wonderful in adverts, seem to be uk based, order online only, when arrive very poor quality, not matching advert picture, imposs to return to china.
be careful who you deal with online.
what about the big stores, M&S, John Lewis etc or brands of bras; don't they do anything suitable ?

LadyEggs · 18/07/2021 22:43

Molke are great! I hate the shoulder pain OP. It really shocks me that breast reduction surgery is not available on the NHS.

MrsMillhouse · 18/07/2021 22:45

I wear them, but only around the house (which is most of the time due to WFH). But
This week when it’s been really hot, they have been a godsend. My usual bras have just been so bloody uncomfortable

Blinkingbatshit · 18/07/2021 22:45

Sloggi have got a great new design out - I can barely feel I’m wearing it!!

Fros · 18/07/2021 22:48

Molke
(I haven't tried the flexi yet) The originals are both incredibly supportive and comfy enough to sleep in.
I've basically given up on muggle bras now.

Though because they are so supportive there's a bit of a learning curve re putting on/taking off (never try this when damp)

There's a FB fans group that's really supportive, and a b/s/t group where their bras resell at close to cost - so if you decided that they weren't for you after the returns window, you can still recoup most of the money.
