Loved this. Got better as it goes along. Anyone seen it?

Just added Workin Moms and watching epi 2. Not sure it's for me, but seeing her screaming at the bear was entertaining enough to begin episode 2.

Given that it's a Canadian show, I think replacing wine with weed would actually be more realistic.

You're not wrong.

Love this show, my absolute favourite is Anne and her daughter, but I much prefer The Let Down - the aussie humour is drier than sand and I really appreciate that.

I’m Canadian and I found it really unrelateable. So few people have this sort of job, or income, or house. I found them quite sneery and hard to like.

I turned it off, but am watching The Letdown.

Jenny seems to be a bit pointless now she’s not at the baby group and has a connection to the others.

I liked the first couple of series but other than Anne who still interacts with her teenage daughter, the ‘moms’ bit seems a bit superfluous now. It’s sort of like an updated SATC and the kids are rarely mentioned when they’re spending all hours at their glamorous careers. Other than for the odd storyline where hilariously they have to take a kid to work or something.

I wanted to like Motherland but it’s beyond contrived. No ones life is THAT chaotic and THAT unrelenting disasters time after time

However I did love a line in the first series where the blonde uber mum said something like ‘I’d die for my kids!’ and the AMM character replied along the lines of ‘yeah so would I…if I had to…’

I absolutely love Motherland but it did cross my mind whilst I was watching it too that surely no one's life is THAT chaotic and unorganised. Come on lol. If there are any Julia's out there I'd like to hear from them 🤣 I mean I was having a nervous breakdown for her nervous breakdown 😩
