Aibu to think that a Bank holiday is already planned for Monday, early benefit payment?

I help a relative with budgeting (and general support/care) and they have just messaged me to say that the money expected on Monday has gone in yesterday. I know it always goes in on a Monday unless the following Monday is a bank holiday, then it gets paid on a Friday.

Do the DWP know something?

Absolutely not. Business can’t plan for it with a few hours notice. And it’s not essential. Not everyone in the uk is an alcoholic football fan!
It’s just hype and wishful thinking.
