Office meeting with all the managers. A chair is dirty person x goes to sit on and then says I will get a dirty bum. Aibu to think it’s a bit inappropriate in a professional setting.

@ThursdayWeld

People have bums. Even managers !! Shock
No way! I don't believe that.

😁

🙄🙄

PiggyMelon · 10/07/2021 17:07

You'll like this op.

Iquitit · 10/07/2021 17:08

Dear me.
Don't ever come into a care or nursing environment.
Someone I look after told me today to shift my arse because he was going to shit himself....... In front of the manager too. We're all still alive.

TableFlowerss · 10/07/2021 17:12

I much prefer people in professional jobs to be able to have a joke and a laugh. Swearing, discrimination etc are bog no no’s but having a bit of a joke is fab. If you can’t laugh it’s a poor doo!!

BashfulClam · 10/07/2021 17:20

Ha ha my boss told me on a call yesterday that he had a ‘bruised arse cheek!’ I didn’t flinch.

AlCalavicci · 10/07/2021 17:21

@Whyyouso , you really are very easily upset !

You should of taken a clean linen hanky out an d put it down on the chair for them

lazylinguist · 10/07/2021 17:25

Good heavens - what is the world coming to?! Grin Most people stop thinking bum is a rude word when they're about 6, OP.

burritofan · 10/07/2021 17:26

The cheek of it

Next you'll be trying to tell us that they even have to use the 'potty'!
burnoutbabe · 10/07/2021 17:27

Dirty bum sounds like a mum talking about her baby who has a full nappy .

I can't imagine coming an adult saying it, dirty clothes /trousers make more sense. So slightly inappropriate in a work setting.

Bum is a very normal word here. Not just a word a mother would use for their baby.

Who always speaks factually correct?

I don't think anyone would think the persons skin was going to get dirty.

Please can you explain how it's inappropriate? Because I am genuinely post.

Romanoff · 10/07/2021 17:40

lost Not post Grin

Perfectlystill · 10/07/2021 17:40

Yabu.

I would probably have said 'arse'

Masdintle · 10/07/2021 17:42

Well, I think it's rude to call the chair of the meeting 'dirty person x' for a start!

2ndMrsdeWinter · 10/07/2021 17:46

You need to ever so slowly unclutch your pearls. Your fingers will be cramping.

girlmom21 · 10/07/2021 17:47

OP I have to ask - why were you in a meeting with all the managers? Were you the minute-taker or something? I don't mean to sound rude but you seem incredibly immature...

SleepingStandingUp · 10/07/2021 17:48

This can't be real surely. Bum isn't a rude word.

therocinante · 10/07/2021 17:54

AHA. This would definitely be fine where I work but we discuss all manner of disgusting bodily functions in the office

godmum56 · 10/07/2021 17:55

totally unnecessary and wrong. Obviously the correct word to use under those circumstances is "arse" as any fule kno.

Get a grip OP it’s a complete nonissue

BoomChicka · 10/07/2021 18:18

You've started quite a few odd threads this weekend, are you alright Confused

FlyingBattie · 10/07/2021 18:42

"I'm afraid my rump may become soiled should I perch on this piece of furniture. Please, arrange it's cleaning forthwith" may have been better. suppose.

In the real world, nobody would care! Are you very new at your job?
