Hi to all 😊

I’m new on here and I know this thread is old, but I am having WLS next month and I was wondering which Instagram group that was mentioned in this thread is called?

TIA x

I'd love to hear how OP is doing now, too ☺️

Hi, I went to Turkey and have lost 80lbs.

Gastric sleeve.

It's not easy. At all. And it's a serious lifelong commitment but I'm so glad I did it.

I’d forgotten about this thread of mine but I’m still here.

Maintained my 8 stone weight loss for a year and still really enjoy being active and healthy (and a size 12)

Couple of bad habits slip in (bad food choices when hungover) every now and again but no regrets!

Without any doubt in my mind it’s the best thing I’ve ever done - just wish I did it sooner!!! Please don’t let anyone put you off. Gone from a size 16-18 to an 8-10 after many, many years of battling. It’s changed my life physically, mentally and emotionally.
I had Guy Slater (amazing surgeon) who does both NHS and private work.
Good luck on your journey! Xxxx

OP that's fab 🥰🥰

Ahh, I regret cancelling my Tonic enquiry but it was 10/11k for non-reversal surgery (I’d be to scared to go to another country) and I didn’t think they would operate on people with pre-existing conditions.

So confusing as I watched a couple of American programmes today, my 100lb life - after surgery and it looks like nothing is guaranteed, people battle with blown up legs and body image. I have watched Fat Surgeons which is based in this country but I think that is 10 years old.

My brother had his on the NHS. His wife prepared him for the assessment questions. Now has lost tonnes of weight but still has massive issues around food.
Mainly eats sweets and chocolate.
