…to gush with pride over my daughter?!

DD is almost 16 and has this evening gone off to her prom looking absolutely stunning.

This is the same girl who, just 5 years ago, laid in a hospital bed full of tubes and drains following major abdominal surgery to remove a huge tumour.

Tonight is her night, and a big ‘fuck you’ to cancer. I am so incredibly proud of her and how she’s recovered both mentally and physically. I thank my lucky stars each and every day that she survived.

Oh, OP, what a wonderful post. Made me cry.

My dd is the same age, and I can only imagine what you must have gone through as a family. So pleased for you all that things worked out. I hope she really enjoys her special evening.

Be proud of your pride! Grin

I'm so glad that she has come through such a dreadful time and is enjoying herself.

Every possible good wish to her - and you. x
