I'm not an England fan but I have a lot of admiration for Gareth Southgate. He chose his direction several years ago and learned his trade very well. He's absolutely formidable as an international manager because that's what he's always focused on.
I think he conducts himself tremendously well, is very confident in making his own decisions (don't recall him changing his tactics to appease the calls of the press or fans and is subsequently selecting players who alone wouldn't set the world alight but as a team they all work in sync and enhance one another), and his honesty is very refreshing. I recall him making a comment about how England fans behave as though they have a rich history of success and actually they just don't. I liked that. I think his nature is similar to that of Klopp (also not a Liverpool fan!)
