To think that all televised sports could be improved if a couple of dogs were let loose

Football - doggo running around with the other players, checking they are okay after injuries, provide comfort to losing team, get excited at goals with the rest of the team although not 100% sure why… just happy the hoomans are happy

Tennis - quicker than ball boys/girls. Slight disadvantage that they may not want to return ball

The ribbon event in Rhythmic gymnastics would be noticeably improved with a couple of kittens on the mat.

Lovely idea. Not for equestrian sports though. Every year someone’s dog gets lose at badminton and chases a poor, stressed horse round the cross country until their shame-faced owner manages to reel them in.

Only a couple of dogs ? I'd go for a whole van load - preferably Jack Russells, they can really move and also do a lot of over excited barking - it would be brilliant.
My last dog was a JRT and she'd have loved this especially if you added to the excitement by shouting 'spider'.
My current dog is a poodle and he would just sit quietly at the tennis and watch the ball (that's what he does when it's on the TV anyway)

Seals / orcas trained to pull / hinder sailing events
They already use birds of prey ( kestrel's ?? ) to keep pigeons of the tennis courts, so could they be trained to be ball birds too

Imagine how much faster the cycling would be if there were packs of wolves.. or cheetahs...

Swimming - with a fish down your cozzie and a group of sealions released 2 seconds after you set off..

Dressage - random Rabbit in arena, extra points for more dramatic moves.

Buzzards as ball-birds in tennis... swoop down and nick the ball...

Hump back whales providing sudden obstacles in sailing races..
