What about a game, something like Mancala or Dobble if you don't have them?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 27/06/2021 18:10

Or bananagrams

Girly stuff for her bedroom

Go to the stationary aisle in bm bargain.

There is so much choice.

Most 9 year old girls love stationary.

If she likes reading I’d look at the Tom Gates books by Liz Pichon. They are all so different … my eldest who is now 11 would have loved skateboard, books, make up, jewellery box, sketch pads but my youngest who is 8 loves soft toys, imaginative play, little bracelets etc that she uses as necklaces on toys.
Neither have the slightest interest in pokemon. I’d ask the parents… they know their child best

What does she like to do? Does she like to read? For my ninth birthday, I got a riding hat and boots, and got to start horse riding lessons...I think I also got a Black Stallion book...there's a theme here... ;-)

I recently gave a then-9-yo girl a book I had loved as a child, after asking her mum, who thought it would go over well, since the girl was enjoying a TV series based on the book. As far as I know, she's not read it yet, and is now 11...I gave her some bee-themed earrings for her 10th birthday (again after consulting her mum), and those went down a storm...ah well, we can't all be the same; that would be boring!
