Two kids close together at 35? Anyone?

I turned 32 yesterday. Me and dh have 7 year old twins and we plan on trying again in a few years and having two close together so roughly pregnant at 34 birth at 35 and then pregnant at 36, birth at 37.

Has anyone had two close together around the same age as I will be?

I had three close at that age was hard!

Matilda1981 · 22/06/2021 22:53

Had mine at 30,32,37 and 38 - didn’t find the later two any more tiring than the earlier two - best thing is the older ones can help out a bit!!!

Also now they are all teens very very expensive and exhausting. We have four in all and holidays are ridiculously expensive.

It’s tiring! Had my first at 33, felt like a Spring Chicken. With my second at 37 (planned gap) it’s so much more knackering physically than I expected. If you know you want them I’d just get on with it!

Had mine at 22 and 23 (16 month age gap) then at 36 and 38 (23 month age gap)
My eldest was 16 when I delivered my youngest!

I’ve found some a renting a lot easier in my late 30s/early 40s and am a lot more patient!

Can't help with the age query but I had my two less than 2 years apart. I suspect your prior experience with twins will be very helpful. There is such an overlap of dependency that it feels like having a continuous "baby" phase until the younger child is past the toddler stuff.

Had my first at 35 and second exactly 12 months later.

Has been a fun journey so far and they are best friends

39/40 would have been a 13 month age gap if son had lived when daughter born.

Ihavehadenoughalready · 22/06/2021 23:38

Why wait a few years though?

Sunshine4you · 22/06/2021 23:45

@RRBB1920 so sorry for your loss.

@Ihavehadenoughalready - we are in the middle of building our house - so everything is hectic at the moment. That's why we are not TTC now.
