People selling used stuff online ask for far too much

Am I the only one frustrated by how much people seem to want to charge for used items on places like Facebook Marketplace. I just saw a branded bike (used for a couple of years), where the asking price is maybe 10% off the original price when a similar model was last sold new by online retailers :O. Am I the only one who thinks that most used items should be at least 50% off the original price - come on, sales these days often offer better value!

I sell things on eBay and I'm usually prepared to take the risk of items taking a while to sell in order to get a decent price. I was bemused to read one comment posted as feedback - "could halve his prices". (I'm not a he but ignoring that assumption) I did smile and think that no one was forcing him to buy my items. A Ralph Lauren hoodie or kids DVD are not akin to a Rembrandt on scarcity grounds...

I voted YABU as nobody is forced to buy stuff if they think it's too expensive.

I shop on eBay for second-hand clothes for work (I work with animals so no point buying new) and I just won't spend more than a certain amount.
