To be horrified that Aldi have stopped my favourite jam..

Title says it all really. They've stopped making their raspberry conserve and I'm lost without it. My poor toast will have to now deal with some knock off raspberry jam. Alas! Worst part is they replaced it with rhubarb and strawberry?? Heavens no!

Aldi are fuckers for doing this kind of thing. I loved their vegan rainbow rice. Got addicted and then bam - discontinued. Enraging.

Also, when I do like something I panic and buy 76 of whatever it is in case they stop making it. I have a whole drawer of lacura rose facial oil, and we were eating their frozen teriyaki chicken skewers from the Christmas range until Easter when I finally ran out!

Aldo got 3 rose facial oils and corresponding toners 🤣

@JingsMahBucket well where do I begin? It's so... real? Not the adjective you were expecting probably but that's just it. It doesn't taste all artificial and sickly, it tastes fresh, super tart, with seeds and is as if someone just made it that morning for you (I've just had a realisation.. oh God..it's... I need a life!!!)

I did buy a crate of their raspberry jam but finished it all (I bake as a hobby and for family/friends) so a lot went there.

notsogreenthumb - The raspberry jam is back! Saw it in Aldi today.

Mine was there in my c&c order yesterday and I just had some on toast 😋

They do this every now and again, ans I find myself sadly searching through the jars of strawberry jam in the hope of finding one sneaky raspberry jam hiding and waiting for me.

It disappeared at our Aldi but is now back. All may not be lost.

Wish they would bring back the fruit bars they used to do too

Its so annoying when they discontinue stuff. I loved the Asda apple and cherry high juice, it tastes like cherry drop sweets. Haven't been able to buy it for ages so looks like they've discontinued it, bastards

Aldi do this all the time, they used to do a very large Pflaumenstreuselkuchen in the freezers, they were wonderful, I used to slightly thaw in, cut it into 16 wedges and freeze individually. They do have a tiny, thinner one but it's not the same. 40 years ago we used to buy the Texasfeurigerbohnentopf, a spicy bean soup, still not forgiven them for discontinuing it!

I bought some Bonne Maman jam in Sainsbury's incase I could get any raspberry jam in Aldi, and it's not quite as good. It's a bit sweater with less flavour. I'm actually really surprised. I thought they were the same jam.

The bonne maman conserve range is fantastic and quite well priced. Thinking of you in your hour of need though, I’ll don a black arm band today in memory of it 😢

To everyone who replied, I am overjoyed to say I found some raspberry conserve in my local Aldi today!! They're stocking less than normal but it's there. I went ahead and bought 10 of them since I missed it so much. It's been weeks! Weeks!!
