I'm not interested in football but I think this

If any footballer at the Euros should be commended for their heroic actions it should be Simon Kjær not Ronaldo

Ronaldo, the Pepsi ambassador, removed a couple of bottles of Coke (incidentally nobody commented when Pogba, a practicing Muslim, removed the bottle of Heineken from his press conference desk) Simon Kjær helped save his friend and teammates life

drpet49 · 16/06/2021 16:46

* He has paid women to grow and birth children for him, which he then removes at birth. They are deliberately denied their mother.*

Denied the mother who doesn’t want the baby and is happy to be paid cash for a transaction. These women are just as bad, if not worse

ApplyWithin · 16/06/2021 17:02

What about Elton John and all the other gay fathers who have had children via surrogacy?

Also very wrong. Humans should not be for sale. Women’s bodies should not be hire. I don’t care who’s doing the ordering.

ApplyWithin · 16/06/2021 17:03

Nobody comes out of it with a scintilla of morality in my book.

CharlotteRose90 · 16/06/2021 17:04

Haha if it’s the water bottle it’s because he’s sponsored by Pepsi and didn’t want to lose money appearing to promote Coke. Nothing to to do with healthy at all.

These women are desperately poor and have no other means to escape poverty they're victims of our society.

Ronaldo is an incredibly hard worker, very very nice to his fans and gives vast amounts of money to charity. Everybody that has worked with him, praises him.

It is not arrogance when you actually are as skilled as you claim.

That’s essentially just PR to counteract the way he’s behaved around women, among other things. 🤷🏼‍♀️
RunningFromInsanity · 16/06/2021 17:27

@WettyHainthrop I’m not so sure, as he actually keeps most of the charity work and donations quite quiet. Doesn’t really advertise it like most people.

I am also quite cynical about why a woman would cry rape on such a public (read- rich) figure and then accept a pay off.

HeronLanyon · 16/06/2021 17:28

There is a lot to admire about him. Some things I don’t admire.
I saw a lot of his previois coke ads and kfc ads being posted after this clip so I assume it was about sponsorship ?

Kjr33 · 16/06/2021 17:29

I don’t think he is still sponsored by pepsi he has done adverts for Coca Cola and Pepsi in the past though, maybe as he has gotten older and has his own child he has realised sugary drinks are not so great even if they are willing to throw millions at you? I think he is alright probably a bit weird but most people at the top of such a competitive sport/profession for 20 years probably are a bit weird.
Pogba removing Heineken bottles from the table at his press conference because of his Muslim beliefs doesn’t seem to be getting the same air time though.

the80sweregreat · 16/06/2021 17:31

If he is such a philanthropist and good with the fans, why are there so many allegations against him ? He isn't a ' nice ' person. A bit of money to charity doesn't dent his bank balance that much. He clearly doesn't respect women at all.
I would have thought he would have retired by now at 36 , so on that score he is amazing. The rest is just good PR.

acatcalledjohn · 16/06/2021 17:32

Didn't he promote Herbashite at one point, as well as some electro current ab trainer?

I am doubtful about the strength of the allegations seeing as most of them are happy to take his money and go away...

“Cry” rape?

Yep. I said what I said.

Did a naive woman have sex with a very rich and famous footballer, and then when it turns out he hasn’t fallen in love with her and she isn’t going to have a life of luxury, decide to make some money off him?

Are you now? Goodo. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Do you not think perhaps him employing the most expensive lawyers to issue what is essentially a threat under the guise of a response to legal proceedings may just intimidate her into backing away? And that him offering huge amounts of money which mean nothing to him as he has huge amounts more, is designed to make her go away and stay away as he knows full well she could never come back and try again? And that these women are likely vulnerable in the presence of power and money? Do you not think it could just be that rather than a woman making something up? Do you not think he wouldn’t pay if there was no evidence….?

Something to think about.

WettyHainthrop · 16/06/2021 17:56

@RunningFromInsanity I really fucking hope you don’t have a daughter. You have an utterly toxic mentality to women and rape.

UhtredRagnarson · 16/06/2021 17:58

Yep. I said what I said.

Awk look and you’re all pleased with yourself for it too. How cute.

Did a man forcefully have sex with a woman and pay her off to avoid a conviction that would end his career and seriously damage his future earning potential?

Changednamesorry · 16/06/2021 18:01

I have met him on multiple occasions as a waitress when he was playing for Manchester United very early on. Certainly back then he was a lovely man, polite and respectful, he was almost always with his family and his 2 friends he used to go out with sometimes were my colleagues, 2 Portuguese chefs. He was always absolutely focused on football and his career. I'm afraid for that reason alone I think the rape claim against him is dubious. He is renowned for being absolutely focused. Getting prosecuted for rape is a career ender. I can't believe for a moment he would chance it.

Pandoraslastchance · 16/06/2021 18:02

Also I'm sure the Pepsi parent company have their own bottled waters anyway so him saying he drinks water is a plus for then anyways.

We will literally never know. So you have your opinion and I’ll have mine.

You do realise that not all rapists believe they are raping/have raped someone, don’t you? I mean it’s not like they all sit down, think about their careers, weigh up the consequences and then decide to go and find a woman to rape that day.

UhtredRagnarson · 16/06/2021 18:07

We didn’t express opinions. We asked questions. Wink
