How soon did your PCR result come back?

Those who have had recent PCR tests, how soon were your results back?

Had one last week and took 18 hours partners was back within 14 hours though.

I posted my home test on Thursday and am still waiting for the result. By the time it arrives the isolation period will have ended anyway. I won't bother doing a test next time I have any symptoms, what's the point? Absolutely terrible service.

I forgot to say that mine (next day result) was done in a test centre, not by post.

At a test centre. It was somewhere in between 48 and 72 hours (can’t remember the times exactly). That’s in Wales though, I think they can take a bit longer here

31 hours, drive through test at a test centre

Test at 08.30, result at 22.30.

Just wondering if anyone has had one this week and how long it took?

Wednesday night 6:30 result back 10:30 am Thursday

21 hours

Test 8.30 am Thursday. Results for DS 6.15am Friday and DD 9.30am Friday (they were tested at exact same time)

Received in post on the Tuesday morning, back in post by 4pm with collection time of 5pm. Result received before midday on Wednesday

Done at 10am. Results back at 11pm.

That was on Monday of this week

Drive through - result took 48 hours. Several local friends having similar experience. Really annoying.

43 hours, arriving in the early hours this morning (Saturday).

DD had to take one when sent home from school for self-isolation. I wonder if they put these through at lower priority as she had to declare she didn't have symptoms? I put it in the post on Tuesday afternoon and the result came back this afternoon - 4 days.

We’ve had 4 tests done in all. 3 in December: 2 positive results within 26 hours, 1 negative within 48. 1 negative result this week 25 hours later.

Went to drive through at 1pm, results back 9.30am next day. Negative.

I'm still waiting for my result from 21 December. However, DS had one 9am yesterday and the result was in before we woke up this am

Less than 24 hours. Drive through test centre.

About a month ago, came back in 18 hours (tested c9am, emailed results at about 3am!)/ I'm just waiting for some again now - think I really do have it this time - imagine it'll be longer this time now there's so many cases. But it can vary a lot - the last lot we had to be tested as a family and DH's one came back about 6 hours after the rest of ours, presumably got sent in a different batch.

We did 3 PCR tests last Saturday. They were posted at 3pm on a Saturday but I didn’t realise until they were already posted that the last collection was Saturday at 12pm and next collection was Monday at 5pm. They must do extra collections for COVID tests as we had the first result back at 11am Sunday morning and the last result by 3pm. So all 3 tests were back in less than 24 hours. Thankfully all negative too!
