OP posts:
luciles · 13/06/2021 13:17

I wouldn't.

LunaLula83 · 13/06/2021 13:18

Yea go for it.

SticksAndStoned · 13/06/2021 13:18

I would if it smells okay

TwoAndAnOnion · 13/06/2021 13:18

I would if it doesnt smell

IronTeeth · 13/06/2021 13:19

if it smells ok, yes

WorraLiberty · 13/06/2021 13:19

Chicken has a wonderful way of letting you know exactly when it's off or going off...it absolutely stinks.

So if it doesn't, I would eat it.

worriedaboutN · 13/06/2021 13:19

The 11th ? And in this weather 😬

That’s just going to be chicken flavour bowel prep

Looubylou · 13/06/2021 13:20

I would if it was just for me and had been stored correctly. I wouldn't give it to children or elderly. I'd give DH the choice 😂

Floralnomad · 13/06/2021 13:20

I would if it looks and smells ok .

SchrodingersImmigrant · 13/06/2021 13:21

Yup.

I'm sure it's been in a cold fridge rather than left out in the sun!

I would if it smelt ok

Where do you store your chicken that the outside temperature has any relevance?
GiveIrelandBackToTheIrish · 13/06/2021 13:24

No but I'm picky anyway

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/06/2021 13:25

Not a chance!

DancesWithDaffodils · 13/06/2021 13:28

If it looked and smelled ok at every stage of prep and cooking, and then tasted ok on first bite, yes.

It will be fine.

3Britnee · 13/06/2021 13:32

I would of it smells ok. Just make sure its cooked properly.

cushioncovers · 13/06/2021 13:37

Nope

Iwonder08 · 13/06/2021 13:38

Date doesn't matter, if it is a normal color and doesn't have an unpleasant smell then it is safe to eat.

MoominKitty · 13/06/2021 13:39

Long as it smells okay after 5 min of opening the packet, the packet hadn't 'blown" and its not overly sticky, wack it in the oven and cook till its at least 85 degrees. Food has no idea what dates is out on its packet and goes off when it goes off. Eyes nose and touch are all you need to check food.

What difference does the weather make? Confused

I would eat it if it smelt okay.

MilduraS · 13/06/2021 15:27

Not chicken but I ate some Quorn "chicken pieces" that were a day out of date years ago. I haven't been able to eat anything past it's use by date since then. I was horrendously sick.

That actually didn't have to be because they would be off🙈 Qurnmageddon happened to my dh. Lots of people react to it
Redact · 13/06/2021 16:09

If it smells ok, I would. I would probably cook it at a slightly higher temperature and for slightly longer just to be sure.
