to complain to Tescos about this delivery driver?

NOt mine but for someone opposite.

Left crates all over road so no other vehicles could get past until he decided he had finished and finally moved them. Our roads are very narrow and you have trouble going up/down them if cars are parked badly, let alone leaving their stuff all over road [hmm[

Then when I had got past and was reversing into a space, he suddenly walked behind the car (so close he could touch it) and I had to slam on the brakes.

He did this 3 times

I want to complain to Tesco about him. Is this reasonable or overreaction?

Maybe bit of both but i would complain anyway!! yanbu but i've seen lots delivery drivers blocking roads. As for walking behind your car, he probably wanted insurance money to get out of job where people complain at him! I'd complain if it were me.

I have sent email to tesco direct.

Thanks, am hormonal at mo and is difficult to tell whether I am reasonable or overreacting

a tesco driver parked across the road to my DP's office the other day, we all had to sit waiting for him to finish and he made no attempt at an appology.

Complain. Some of the Tescos delivery people are great, some are awful. Like the man who smoked into my front door whilst holding my food

seems like he's not the only pain in the arse tesco driver then.

I doubt tesco will do anything. Their attitude whenever I've complained about anything has always been that of 'we have so many customers, why do we care if we loose you?'

Oh! My Tesco delivery man is LOVELY! Nice and polite and thoughtful, and always with a bright smile!

But I think you should complain. It is a road safety issue.

Never had a problem with my tesco or asda delivery drivers, but some of the ones mentioned here make me very thankful! COMPLAIN!

Tesco man was prob hoping you'd run him over so he could get some compensation and time off. One of our Sainsbury's drivers ( I hate tescos btw) had just finished unloading our stuff and he said
" oh I think I've pulled something,( whilst lamely holding his back)" think i'll have a few days off"
The only thing that he was pulling was his boss's leg!!!

I got annoyed with the last Tesco driver, it is pretty obvious I am heavily pg, but he still dumped the crates in my front hall, so I had to empty them there and then(they were too heavy for me to pick them up and carry them into the kitchen), carry the stuff into the kitchen, and he kept just piling the crates inside each other once I'd emptied them. So he was forced to wait each time he brought a crate in because I couldn't empty them fast enough, and he kept tutting. So the WTF didn't you help you lazy bastard??? Supposed I should have just asked them to bring them through to the kitchen... but far too wimpy!
Certainly the driver before did!

I would complain about him - how are Tesco meant to improve their service if they aren't told about people like this?

i've had a couple of issues with Tesco in the past and made complaints, and they've really improved their service.

Definitely complain

IF it gets you no-where, go into the Store and ask to speak to the Manager of the Dot-com department. They wont be there after 2pm though.

Yes, definitely complain. I know some drivers are really good and some aren't. I had a new one this morning, quite young. He was really tolerant of ds2 (18 mths) who likes to "help" getting stuff out of the crates, taking them into the kitchen and then back out again and into the crate....

After unloading the driver asked if he could give ds1&2 a lolly (like a chupa chups). I don't usually give them sweets (only choc etc) but I was too taken aback by what a sweet thought that was to refuse - especially because I'd read this thread earlier. Hence both eating lollies half an hour before lunch

Was chatting to a driver and he said one of the other customers prior to me had complained because he'd arrived when she wasn't in, inside her chosen delivery slot!

Do they really Soup? I thought they all came from whichever the local store was...I only say that because the last few times I've been brave enough to do the weekly shop with the dses there are always loads of tesco staff with HUUUGE trollies doing people's shopping (you can tell because they're putting one item in each carrier bag ). They really got in my way! It was same in Sainsburys last time too. Maybe they've changed it now though.

Are you sure soup dragon? A lot of the stores do shelf picking in the main store.

Snooks.. do your shopping after 2pm, lol. They'll have finished by then if they're on the same schedule as Tesco Extra i work in.

Yes, 100% sure. It used to be done in the public store but moved to one set up especially on an industrial estate. The service has improved immensely since they did too. It covers a huge area to so I think it's taken over from a number of local stores.

Kaishay good tip but I'm pretty hooked on home deliveries now! We spend loads less too. The other weekend I was desperate to get out of the house ON MY OWN so volunteered to do the weekly shop. Never again! That's 2 hours out of my life I'll never get back

I'm not saying they so this everywhere though, just that there would be no point complaining instore at our because they don't do it there.
