To ask what you would expect to spend for a hen do

I'm arranging a hen do for a friend and I don't know anyone going. She wants a weekend away somewhere (seems to be the standard thing these days). Obviously people have the option of opting out if it is too expensive/ not their thing, but I'm wondering what people think is a reasonable amount all in for a 2 day getaway in the UK?
I've asked other friends and I'm getting wildly different amounts and I'm just trying to get an average really.

The last weekend away hen weekend I went on was surprisingly cheap. Shared premier inn rooms, a night out in a city and breakfast the next day. Less than £100. Probably not what your bride is expecting though by the sounds of it.

Though unless your circle of friends is very wealthy I’d feel bad arranging something that costs more than that in fear of pricing people out.

I think £50 for a meal and drinks is the max a hen do should be.

I think it's absurd that they have become holidays rather than a night out.

I hugely object to someone else's wedding costing me £100's for a hen do, gift, possible hotel night on actual wedding.

spanielstail it’s obviously your decision to go or not, but I feel a £50 limit is very tight. However you may not have any spare dosh for such a scenario, so in your situation I’d make excuses and not go.
