What a coup for Cornwall to get the G7

If Cornwall make a success of this then surely they should relocate the foreign office there full time. If the government are serious about leveling up anyway.

Londoners coped through the Olympics. It's a net benefit.

But detours in London are fairly easy to come by to avoid it. Detours in the countryside are sometimes non existent, or a couple of extra hundred miles long. Granted I don't know much about the road layout in Cornwall, but doubting it's that good. Plus when you live in a city, you can hardly complain about traffic unless you're an idiot. You move to the countryside to get away from that, and then it follows you.

We had the NATO summit in Cardiff in 2014. The security arrangements, “ring of steel” around the city centre, constant helicopters overhead, made it a PITA tbh.
