Bungee jumping.
Sky diving.
Hate heights and i'd pay NOT to do those things!
Anything else?

@RedthroatedCaracara Absolutely. My worst nightmare realised. I can feel the rocks crushing me... I went through a tunnel in a mountain in Switzerland once in a car on an open train. Worst 20 minutes of my life.
Skydiving? I have enough problems getting through a flight, let along jumping out of the sodding plane. I have a theory that the euphoria and enjoyment people say they get out of it is just the simple relief of surviving the ordeal. Just no. Not enough money in the world.

Anything that is ecologically unsound.

Near space flight. Not just because of space pollution. migflug.com/flights-prices/mig-29-edge-of-space/

Going into space.
Disney Land.

Ultra marathons are just eating competitions with some running (and a lot of walking) thrown in.

So true! I'd add that the really long ones are also staying awake competitions though.

I'm a keen mountaineer (including high altitude stuff), but Everest is definitely not on my bucket list. Paying tens of thousands of pounds to queue at high altitude while puffing on oxygen is not my idea of a good time.

MadMadMadamMim · 09/06/2021 23:26

So much. I feel the hassle outweighs much of the gain for so many 'experiences' nowadays.

Machu Picchu - or climbing anything, frankly
Cruises - for all the reasons other people have suggested
Swimming with dolphins (water, animals, not keen)
Cage diving with sharks (or worse, not-in-a-cage diving with sharks)
Dubai, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam or Korea. None of these appeal.
Las Vegas (Skegness/Blackpool on a massive, depressing scale?)
Going into space. I'm hugely claustrophobic, can feel myself gasping for breath at the very thought of being trapped in a space capsule.
Disneyland (or any theme park)
Seeing the Northern Lights or visiting Iceland/Lapland/Santa Claus - sounds cold and boring and likely to disappoint. Also expensive.
Safari in Africa. Sad animals, poorly paid locals, terrible impact of tourism.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/06/2021 23:37

Reading this long list on here if utterly shit things to do makes me have a fondness for dogging Hmm

Or anal Grin

I'd rather do either than swim with poor bastarding sharks/dolphins...

dayslikethese1 · 09/06/2021 23:48

All of these. Most of the animal experiences mentioned are cruel also as pp have pointed out. Also I have absolutely no desire to go to Glastonbury.
