The dawn chorus is beautiful!

Woke up early this morning and the dawn chorus is fabulous. I am semi rural....only problem is I can't get bk to sleep but i'm ok with that.

I love it. They woke me up at 6 and it was beautiful, and they’re still going. I don’t even mind the coo of a pigeon. Was a small victory this morning, STBXH finally left this weekend and I was able to sleep with the curtains open and wake up in my own bed in the way I wanted at the time I wanted. The birds just made it all the more special.

We have jackdaws fledging in the chimney opposite us, so they start chirruping and thumping about from ten to five in the morning.... which wakes up the sparrows, the rooks, the magpies, the blackbirds, the wood pigeons, the wrens, the blue tits....

All goin' on in my back garden these days!

It's lush but my god it's early! One hour later and I would be sold

3.50 this morning.
Just as I was dropping off to sleep for the first time...

3.30 our song thrush starts and wakes the rest up!

April/may is when we get the dawn chorus, I'm not a fan personally as I'd rather be sleeping than hearing Mr bloody blackbird sing his heart out over and over right outside my window. Mind you we had a cockerel next door crowing at 5am till I complained and that was much worse.
