I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second child (9th pregnancy) and have felt baby move since around 17 weeks.

I had felt the baby move less and some minor cramping yesterday afternoon/ evening which I put down to ligament pain and didn’t think much of it as it’s early days.

I’ve woken up this morning and haven’t felt baby and still have the slight cramping.

I’ve read that decreased movement only really comes into play in the 3rd trimester and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

Do you think it’s worth ringing? I’m not asking for medical advice, just someone to put the mind in the right place!

Definitely ring. I ended up going in 3/4 times at least with reduced movements - baby was always fine but the midwives said to me they’d rather spend half an hour monitoring a healthy baby than have somebody stay at home who actually needed help.

Health professionals would rather check you and there be nothing wrong, than you not be checked and there be something wrong.

Hope all goes ok.

Another one for phone x

@TestingTestingWonTooFree

Definitely get reduced movement checked.
Not just reduced. If movements increase too. Any change needs checking.
Raindancer411 · 02/06/2021 11:51

They always say to fone for any changes in movement. Hope all ok

SunshineCake · 02/06/2021 11:51

@BlueDucky

SinkGirl it's odd isn't it, they told me at every appointment to call if I noticed reduced movements or had any concerns but I still felt reluctant to bother them. Something needs to change but I'm not sure what would do it.
Probably because other woman have had, of know someone who has, snotty comments from unkind midwives when one has gone in and everything was fine.

OP, hope you managed to go in and all is well x

Hope all was well op, never worry about wasting time when you are concerned during pregnancy.
